Short Chapter

At midnight, Vlad walked Liliana to her car and opened the door for her. "How was your evening this time draga mea?"

"It was wonderful! The food was quite tasty and dancing was actually relaxing but..."

Vlad tilted his head a little and waited for to finish the sentence, "But?"

"The best part was being able to spend time with you tonight. Can I see you again sometime?" Lana asked. "I feel safe with you."

"Mmm, of course. The weekend perhaps to see the Opera?" Vlad smiled.

"Yes please! I trust I will like whatever you choose," She smiled happily.

"How well do you trust me? Enough to close your eyes?"

Lana nodded and closed her eyes as the vampire held her in his arms. His lips gently touched hers and she pressed hers to his. He placed his hands to cup her face and kissed a little more aggressively. Vlada's lips were soft and swollen, perfect for kissing. Alucard/Vlad gave another gentle kiss and then stepped back so she could get in the car.

"Text me!" was the last thing Liliana said she started the car and then left him at the restaurant. She was on the hook but not reeled in yet, so more time needed to be spent, to assure he would be the first man to her.

The next few days were slow and coming up with new leads in the Jack/Victor case or the sanguine case. Liliana figured a dry spell would hit. The blood loss one only had on fatality so no pattern established. It could months for another killing. The profiler paced at Hellsing and re-read all the files. She felt she was missing something but what? Lana could no longer work on the Jack case due to personal involvement from Jack.

Her only reprisal was Vlad's texts. He sent one in the morning and one at night like clockwork whether she had texted or not during the day. Those texts made her days go by faster.

The sun was just setting when Alucard rose and phased into the hall across from Vlada's room. He had heard her pacing for hours and loud music, which he understood to be called Heavy Metal. To him it was heavy pain music, so the vampire king was not particularly in a good mood. He would do a trade with Vlada, her blood for her terrible music, though the first feeding didn't go well.

Alucard also had made his mind up that Vlada wouldn't be going to the Sanguinarian club. She would be too much of a problem keeping her safe. She was at the level of pet or companion now in vampire society. It was just convincing her not to go by herself.

Friday rolled around and nothing for the case, so Liliana drove to Scotland Yard. To he profiler entered the station and entered his permission of her badge.

"Dr. Draghescu morning... Scott is out in the field. He should be back in an hour." Detective Sloan said.

"Thanks for the information. Where can I stay until he gets back?"

Detective Sloan pointed to the war room. "I thought you were still on the case?"

"No, I removed myself due to the personal message addressed to me," Lana had a slight tilt to her head."Those in charge were going to pressure me to step down anyway."

"Somebody fucked up for not telling you! Jack left a message, in blood, threatening to kill a prostitute a day if you weren't back on the case and were visibly seen," the detective replied.

At that moment the profiler 's phone rang, it was Scott. " You're back on the case courtesy of Jack. I'm coming to get you from Hellsing."

"Scott I'm at the station..."

"Perfect! I need your eyes on this murder."
