I could feel my hand freeze over. I glanced down to see my once cream colored flesh now blue. I sighed and allowed my hand to return to normal. It was just pissing me off that Nyx was spending alone time with Eris. Eris would latch herself onto Nyx's arm while they walked around the palace.

I've told Nyx countless times that I didn't like her being so affectionate with Eris. She would retort by saying it means nothing and she has to do whatever she can to keep Eris on our side. It sounded like a cop out and was aggravating. I felt like she was being incredibly disrespectful to me. I wasn't comfortable with her being so close to the woman she cheated on Hailey with. What's to stop Nyx from straying again?

I hit my fist on the banister when I saw them in the garden. Eris pointed at a flower, so Nyx plucked it and handed it to her. It really seemed like they were on a date. Fuck you, Nyx! I turned away from them and walked through the halls. I ran into Hailey and Yuna.

"What's wrong?" Yuna held my arms.

"What do you think?" I rolled my eyes.

"Nyx and Eris." Hailey sighed.

"Yes! It's been like 2 months here and Nyx refuses to honor my request about not being so physical with Eris! Or spending long periods of time with her! Why can't they just keep it professional where they only speak at work?!" I ranted. "Nyx claims that she's just being incredibly friendly to Eris because we need her." I huffed.

"She's not wrong." I quirked a brow since Hailey was defending Nyx. "Eris has been meeting with the other leaders to help block any laws we've been trying to put into action." Hailey sighed. "She has basically become an influential figure in the council... something we didn't expect."

"I'm lost." I scrunched my brows.

"She's only concerned about anything related to fairies. She has no interest in the angels, even though this is the angelic domain. We're having to kiss her feet to get her to do anything since she has the council leaders on her side. And majority rules since the Queen keeps the court democratic."

"That doesn't mean you have to like what Nyx is doing though." Yuna placed a hand on my arm. "Plus, I think Eris is taking full advantage of the situation." She narrowed her eyes at something behind me.

I turned around to see Eris fawning over Nyx. Now that I observe them, it seems that Eris is way more into Nyx than Nyx is into her. Nyx looks incredibly annoyed, but powerless to do anything other than follow Eris' lead. Eris held Nyx's hand which earned her a glare, but Eris didn't care. When they got closer, Nyx's eyes widened. She tried to release her hand, but Eris had a firm hold on it. I glared and crossed my arms at that bitchy elf.

"Kennedy, what a surprise. I didn't expect to see you here." Eris gave me a fake smile.

"Ya, what a surprise that you saw me in MY home. Now, will you let go of MY-"

"Your what?" Eris arched a brow. "Surely, you don't own Nyx. You are your own person, aren't you?" She looked at Nyx, who rolled her eyes. "Plus, Nyx doesn't do labels." She smirked while my eye twitched.

I was about to give her a piece of my mind, but some council members walked by. They smiled and waved Eris over to them. She smiled back and signaled that she would be there shortly. She then gave a lingering kiss to Nyx's cheek before walking away. I literally tried to jump her, but Yuna and Hailey held me back. Eris glanced over her shoulder and laughed at me being restrained. She then turned the corner with the leaders and left.

"I'm gonna kill her." I promised them.

"Ken, please calm down." Nyx sighed.

"Calm down?! Are you kidding me?!" I squirmed out of Hailey's arms. "You've been flirting with her in front of me!"
