Since Nyx is the faster flier between us, she sped Zena to Yugi. I asked Acacia for permission to carry her. She squeaked and nearly suffocated me from how tight she was holding me. The girl was terrified that I'd drop her... I mean we were a few thousand feet in the air.

We quickly made it to the infirmary. Nyx kicked open the door and interrupted Yugi and Roman from having sex. Yugi was embarrassed while Roman was annoyed that we interrupted them. They quickly got dressed.

"YOU CAN'T BARGE IN WHEN THE DOOR IS CLOSED! HOW MANY TIMES DO I-"

"Yugi, she's injured." I spoke up. "She needs immediate attention."

"I see." Yugi walked over to Nyx and Zena. "Bring her to an examination room." Nyx nodded and carried Zena to another room.

Roman and I led Acacia to the waiting room. She began worrying herself to death. The girl was pacing back and forth even though we were encouraging her to sit down. Nyx entered and ignored Acacia. Nyx sat next to me while rolling her eyes at Acacia. Roman stated that Zena would make it and the injury wouldn't severely harm her. I also knew that Zena would be fine since she's incredibly powerful. Now if she had just shared that knowledge with Acacia...

Roman sighed and announced that he was going to speak with Yugi. More like he was going to tell Yugi to stop making small talk and release Zena. There was only so much longer that Nyx and I could listen to Acacia almost cry about Zena dying. Nyx stood up and told Acacia to sit down. Acacia began arguing with Nyx about her mate being injured.

"If it was Ken, you would be fretting too!"

"I'd at least be more rational than you." Nyx replied.

"How can I be rational when the person I love is on death's door?!"

"She's not on death's door." I mumbled, but Acacia was too preoccupied in yelling at Nyx.

"How do I know he's actually helping her?! Is he even skilled?"

"He's the best doctor in-"

"I want to see her!" Nyx had to hold Acacia back. "I need to make sure she's okay."

I felt Zena's aura enter the room, so I let out an exaggerated sigh. The sigh I made got the duo's attention. Acacia's head snapped to Zena. She let out a grateful breath and wrapped her arms around Zena's neck.

"Thanks for taking your sweet time." Nyx sarcastically said. "We had to deal with her wanting to barge into the room and micro manage Yugi."

"Is that true?" Acacia blushed and hid her face in Zena's neck. "That's really cute." Zena cooed.

"The Queen wishes to see you." Roman interrupted them.

"How does-"

"She knows like everything." I answered Zena's question. "It's so annoying sometimes." I groaned since I can never hide anything from my mom.

"Should we expect escorts or are we supposed to go there now?" Acacia asked.

"Word has spread about a vampire hybrid in the kingdom, so the citizens and council members are on edge. It'd be wise to wait for additional escorts." Roman answered. "I was requesting Alexxis deliver a message to the Queen and Eris overheard, so she-"

"That bitch is here?!" We all jumped from Acacia's outburst. "To hell with waiting for escorts! Bring me to that bitch!" Damn, she really hates her sister. I wonder who hates Eris more... me or Acacia. I have a feeling Acacia and I will get along over our mutual hatred of that damn elf.
