I quickly left Eris and went to the gardens. I laid on a bench and watched the clouds roll by. I think my mom is engaging with the citizens, which is why I haven't been summoned to see her. I'm just grateful that my friends are allowing me to have some space before they harass me with a lecture. I shouldn't have gotten so heated and lost my cool... that's ironic since I can control ice.

I loudly groaned before standing up. I had been spending the last few minutes in the garden to cool off. I realize that I overreacted and projected my jealousy onto Nyx. Obviously, she had to remain hospitable to Eris if we wanted her help. My insecurities are just getting the best of me and it's not fair to Nyx.

I walked to the street vendors and bought some deserts. I was planning to give them to Nyx, but I have a better idea. I ended up giving the food to the homeless before heading to the palace. I hastily made my way to the kitchen.

The staff smiled and bowed to me. They asked what I would like. I surprised them by stating that I wanted to make a cake. One of the chefs asked if I wanted him to make a cake and then- but, I cut him off and stated that I wanted to make it. With their assistance, I made a pound cake that Nyx loves.

I thanked everyone before making my way upstairs. I rounded the corner and collided with Ellio.

"Whoops, sorry." He chuckled and clasped onto the cake. "Don't want that dropping now."

"No worries... have you seen Nyx by any chance?"

"Ya... wasn't she with you-"

"I went to make a cake for her." I proudly smiled. "Where is she?"

"Your bedroom... weren't you with-"

"Thanks, Ellio!" I began speed walking to my room.

I don't know what Ellio was referring to, but I really wanted to see her. I felt awful for my actions and hopefully she'll accept my apologies. I smiled as I got closer to my door. My brows furrowed as I got closer. I felt two auras inside.

I slowed down and tried to calm my hectic thoughts. Maybe she has Hailey or Onyx or someone in there. Yea, she's probably venting to them about my irrationality. I then began to doubt my reassuring thoughts when I heard sounds... moans, more specifically.

My heart felt like it was beating out my chest. I cautiously opened the door and almost died at the sight. In the bed was Nyx and... Eris. They were stark naked on our bed. Nyx's face was buried deep into Eris' pussy. Eris was a moaning mess as she grabbed a fist full of Nyx's hair. She pushed Nyx deeper against her area. Eris I guess saw me since she gave me a smug smirk.

Tears were streaming down my face. I don't understand why Nyx would cheat on me. She had assured me she wouldn't, but now... I knew I should've listened to my gut! Eris smirked at my broken heart and flipped her... brown hair over her shoulder? She naturally has pure blond hair that's almost white. Why is her hair brown now?

She then screamed loudly as Nyx hit her g spot. Eris smirked and eyed me as she climaxed over Nyx's face. I couldn't stand the scene before me anymore. I allowed the plate to fall from my hands and clatter to the ground. I then turned and raced down the hall.

I bumped into guards and other staff members as I ran down the halls. I could barely see since my tears clouded my vision. I somehow got out of the palace grounds and ran down the streets.

"Hey! Are you alright?" I looked up to see Hailey and Zeli.

I was too embarrassed and didn't want to talk to them. Zeli tried to reach for me, but I moved out the way. When I did that, I bumped into a woman, causing her to drop a large bowl. The slippery liquid had splashed on the ground. Our eyes widened as we both slipped.

I fell down the stairs and rolled onto the grassy pasture. My emotions were out of wack, so I accidentally froze the fields. My eyes widened as the citizens screamed and ran away from the icy film. I stood up and skittered backwards.

"Calm down." Zeli grabbed me before I fell down.

I then grabbed onto her arm. My eyes widened as she screamed. I then watched her body freeze over until she was suspended in an ice block. I panicked and let go of her. Hailey tried to approach me, but I was scared of injuring her. I backed up until I hit a wall. I then turned around to see another citizen encased in an ice block. Unfortunately, I had bumped the block too hard, so it fell over and shattered. People screamed since I had just murdered a man.

"KENNEDY!"

"I'm sorry!" I then ran away from Hailey.

I ran into the magical forest, which I've been told multiple times not to enter. I was spooked by the echos and mysterious sounds. I was definitely on guard now. I swore I could hear footsteps behind me, but I saw no one when I turned around.

I ran when I heard the steps get closer. I hid behind a tree in hopes of catching my stalker. I heard the steps stop. They were probably watching me. I got scared and began running. The steps picked up and followed me. I conjured up an ice blade and hid behind a tree. I then heard the steps get closer. I then drove the blade into the person's chest as-

"NYX!"

She grunted and fell to the ground. I began applying pressure to the wound, but blood was spilling out. Fuck! I think I stabbed her in the heart. She slowly wrapped her hand around the ice and allowed her heat to melt it. Her hand then flopped to the ground. Her breaths quickly became shallow and I could hear her heart slowing down.

I carefully picked her up and launched into the air. I rapidly flew to Yugi's office. He was speaking with staffers when I crashed through his window. Yugi was in shock at what I just did.

"There's a door- NYX!" He then grabbed her from my arms and sped her to a different room.

I then slumped into a chair. I closed my eyes and tried to bite back the tears. I couldn't control myself anymore, so I began crying. I harshly bit my lip to stifle the sounds.

"Ken!" I opened my eyes to see Hailey and Roman enter.

"Are you alright?" Roman knelt down. "Any injuries?" He began checking me.

"I stabbed her." I cried.

"We figured that out, but why?" He wrapped a bandage around my wrist.

"I-I thought she was an attacker-"

"Why were you in the forest?" Hailey poured me some water.

"I was running away from my problem." I whispered before taking a sip.

"What problems?" Roman cut the tape. "Lilitu?"

"No." I shook my head. "Nyx-" I cried again as I remembered what I saw.

"What?" They both placed a hand on my arms. "What happened?" Roman's brows furrowed.

"Did she hurt you?" Hailey inquired.

"Yes." I cried into Hailey.

"So she's stable and-" Yugi stopped speaking when he saw me. "What's wrong?"

"I don't know. She's hysterical." Roman stood up. "We should take her back to the palace." Yugi nodded at his husband. "Hailey, you stay." Roman then picked me up. "Hang on... I'll fly slow."

I nodded and allowed Roman to carry me outside. He then jumped into the air and began flying back to the palace. I tightened my embrace around his neck. I sniffled a bit more as we flew. Roman softly landed on my balcony and carried me to the bed. He gently placed me down and left.

I sighed since I really needed someone. Even though we're not that close, I wish that even Roman stayed-

"Ken!" I turned to see Yuna enter my room. "Are you alright?! That's a stupid question! Obviously, you're not! What's wrong?" She embraced me in a hug.

I then saw Roman standing by the door. I gave him a grateful smile and turned to Yuna. I saw Roman smile out my peripheral before he left us alone.

"I'll tell you later. I just need a friend right now." Yuna nodded and allowed me to hug her tighter.
