"No, Yuu's always been a hassle to deal with. I sincerely apologise on his behalf for any trouble he's caused up until now.", Kimizuki said as he took a sip of his tea. They were all seated outside, cozied up by the small fireplace they had in the backyard.
"Hey! I'm always well behaved, ass!", he retorted.
"I beg to differ."
"Oi!" Yuu turned his gaze towards Mika, who was huddling with Yoichi for a hint of warmth. He sipped his hot chocolate. "Help?"
"Why? He's right."
"You're supposed to be on my side!"
"... Why?" Yuu looked away, a light blush tinting his cheeks.
"W-Well, you're my roommate..."
"So? We're your housemates.", Yoichi said as he rested his head on Mika's shoulder. Yuu felt his stomach turn at the sight. Why the hell did he feel weird about that?
"Whatever...", he muttered. He heard the girl next to him snicker. He shot her a quick, confused glance. Shinoa leaned a little closer.
"You seem jealous.", she whispered.
"Jealous?" She nodded. "What would I be jealous of?" She motioned towards Mika and Yoichi. The two had hit it off great, better than any of the others had with the pretty blonde.
"You seem upset that Yoichi is stealing your man~" They looked at two, who had struck a conversation with Kimizuki and Mitsuba. Yuu felt a shiver run down his back. Was Shinoa right? Was he seriously jealous that Mika was cuddled up to Yoichi, and not him. He looked back at the lavender haired girl, and spoke.
"They're just cold."
"Go grab him a sweater, then. Call dibs on him, before Yoichi does.", Shinoa giggled. The ravenette got up from the ground, and made his way inside. The others shot him a puzzled look.
"Where's he going?", Mitsu asked.
"Grabbing a sweater for his boyfriend."
Mika felt a bright blush rise to his face. He groaned, covering his face with his hands. Shinoa gasped.
"No way!! You're into him!"
"N-No, that's not it-!"
"THAT'S SO IT!" The blonde groaned again, as he was teased by the lavender haired girl. "When did you fall for him?" He sighed.
"I don't think I can pinpoint it. I only came to terms with it yesterday..."
"Came to terms with it? What do you mean?", Yoichi asked.
"I think I was denying it for a long time. Probably because part of me knows it will never be."
"That's horseshit.", Mitsu said. "Yuu's anything but straight, he just doesn't know it yet."
"The idiot's struggling with his sexuality. Usually when we tease him about not being straight, he gets annoyed and barks back. Lately, he just gets mad. With him, there's a big difference.", Kimizuki spoke. "Annoyed Yuu is still bearable to be around, the atmosphere is always playful. But when he gets mad, it's uh..."
"Nightmare fuel.", Mika finished his sentence. They nodded. "We've gotten in some fights before." He wrapped his arms around his legs, pulling them closer against his chest. "Mostly about dumb stuff, but... It was terrifying." Mitsuba rested her hand on the boy's back.
"Give him some time, Mika. I'm honestly quite sure the two of you will end up together at some point." The boy sniffed.
"I pity him already." He showed a sad smile. The sliding the door opened again, as the others raised their voice in disagreement.
