Chapter 23 - The Disappearance of Mikaela (Part One)

Mika's eyes slowly fell shut as his head was rested on the lap of the man he got to call his boyfriend. They had been watching a movie, and while the blonde boy had no interest in superhero movies, it was nice to see Yuu so engrossed in a storyline. The way light sparkled in his eyes, the annoyance when a character he disliked appeared on the screen... It made him melt.

Something else that made Mikaela melt, was how affectionate Yuichiro was in his small gestures. The blonde was already happy he could rest his head on the other's lap as they watched the movie, but when Yuu started gently massaging Mika's scalp, his heart started skipping beats left and right. It made him sleepy.

It took a while before Mika woke up again. The TV was still playing, and as he glanced to the other couch, he saw Shinoa and Mitsuba huddled together under a blanket. He still felt Yuu's hand in his hair. He could start crying on the spot from how content he felt. Oh how he wanted to stay in this moment forever. But alas, his neck had started cramping from staying in the same position for too long. Mika rubbed his eyes, yawning. He slowly sat up.

"Hey there. Sleep well?", Yuu asked him in a hushed voice. He nodded. The two girls turned their attention from the TV to the boys.

"Oh, Mika, we've prepared the guest room for you. I assume you won't be able to go back to your apartment for a while.", Mitsuba spoke.

"Thanks..."

"It's no problem! You can stay as long as you like!" The smaller girl next to Mitsuba yawned.

"Come on, let's get to bed. It's like 3AM.", she whined as she gently tugged the blonde's pyjamas. "Goodnight, you two. Don't do anything we wouldn't.", Shinoa teased through her sleepy expression.

"Goodnight.", the boys said in unison. Not too long after the girls had left, Mika felt a gentle nudge in his side.

"We should head to sleep soon, too.", Yuu whispered. As the blonde turned to look at him, he frowned slightly.

"Hold still."

"Oi, oi, Mika! What are you-"

"Hold still, Yuu-chan." A bright blush rose to Yuu's cheeks, as his now-boyfriend proceeded to crawl on his lap.

"Mika, don't you think this is a little soon?"

"... Pervert.", the blonde replied in a monotone voice, as he proceeded to swipe off the small spider that was seated on Yuichiro's shoulder.

"Oh." Mikaela couldn't help but smile at Yuu's obliviousness. He wrapped his arms around the ravenette's neck, resting his head on them. Yuichiro smiled, before speaking again: "Comfortable?"

"Mhm." Yuu chuckled, wrapping his arms around Mika's waist. He rested his head on Mika's shoulder. "I could stay like this forever.", the blonde said.

"Me too. But for now, let's head to bed. We need to get back to the dorm tomorrow."

"Five more minutes, Yuu-chan."

Mika woke up to the buzzing of his alarm under the pillow. He quickly turned it off, hoping to not have woken Yuu up aswell. The blonde had slept on his stomach, a warm arm laid on his lower back. Looking to his right, he smiled. His Yuu-chan was still fast asleep.

Slowly and carefully, Mika lifted Yuu's arm from him, as he got up out of bed. He walked over to his wardrobe, pulling out the white uniform he had grown to carry quite a dislike for. It was too hot, the fabric was anything but breathable and it just didn't suit him. In his own humble opinion, that is. He changed out of his pyjamas, which just consisted from his boxers at this point, and pulled on the school's uniform. He opened the door to the small bathroom, and proceeded to freshen himself up a little.
