Juli Baker's POV:

"Wow, Juli! I can't believe you're back! It's so good to see you again!"

I chuckled. "It's nice to see you too, Jayce. How've you been?"

"Eh, I've been fine, just waiting for our senior year to finally be over. I like the hair."

"Oh yeah! I'm still getting used to all of my short hair compliments, I cut it out freshman year!" I laughed.

"Oh really now? I think you look beautiful with it." I blushed. I didn't know what to say so I just went quiet, but I could feel his eyes on me.

Jayce Morales' POV:

I stared at her, think about how beautiful she looked. I mean how could anyone hate her. She's like a dream come true.

"So why did Ruby try attacking you?"

"She heard the rumors about how Bryce apparently cheated on her with me. It's so annoying. My first week back and I already have to deal with all of this drama." She rolled her eyes.

"Well if anyone tries to attack you again, I'm right here to defend you."

"I appreciate the offer Jayce, but I think I can handle myself." The bell rang. She started walking away.

"Can I at least get your number?"

"I still live in the same place, just come over sometime." She waved.

TRIGGER WARNING TO VERBAL AND PHYSICAL ABUSE

Bryce Loski's POV:

"Babe, just calm down."

"Calm down? Calm Down?" She yelled. "Do you think I can calm down? This is so embarrassing for me! Oh my god! No, you know what, this is all your fault! You're pathetic! You know that? You don't deserve me! You're trash." She spat on me.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know people would come up with these rumors." I went quiet while she kept yelling.

"The both of you are trash, I don't need you. I never did. You're just my tool to make me look good. You know what, why don't you just do me a favor and never talk to her? Okay?"

"What? But she's an old friend. I haven't seen her in 4 years? This is wrong, Ruby!"

She slapped me. "I am never wrong and I don't care if you haven't seen her in 4 years! That's not my problem!" She mumbled, "she's a piece of shit anyway!"

"Don't say that!"

"Say what, Bryce? That she's shit? I'll say whatever the hell I want about that trash." The bell rang. "Now run along, I don't need to be seen with you right now."
