1 Year Later

Juli's POV:

        You may be wondering. What happened? Well. I'm 14 now. A freshman in High School. I haven't heard from Jayce, Dana, Miles, Marie, Dave, and Bryce. You see, I do miss them but I made new friends. There's Mona, Mark And Me! I go to Mather High School. And no, I don't have a crush on anyone. Even though me and Bryce haven't talked in a long time, I'm still in love with him, and I don't know if those feelings are ever going to go away.

        "OHM GEE, DO YOU SEE THAT HOTTIE'S ASS? OOOH, SO SMOKIN!", Mark said to me and Mona. (Yes they cuss now, be prepared to see Juli cussing) Mark is also gay if you didn't notice.

        "Mark, you need to stop being so obsessed with boys and be obsessed with food!" Mona is the foodie of the group. She has food in her backpack, not books. She's not the type to wear dresses or skirts. She prefers sweatpants or hoodies. But usually at school, she wears jeans and a hoodie. Yes, I know the jeans and hoodies aren't in style and I don't think they'll ever be, but this is Mona's style. And if it were to become a trend, she would be the one who started it.

        "You know what Mona how about you quit being a fatass for once and go out more."

        "Meh, I'm good. I'd rather stay inside, watch TV with Mi snacks."

        "How about you Juli? Got anyone in mind?", Mark asked me.

        "Nope, still sticking with my crush back in Mayfield."

        "Girl, you need to move on. I don't understand. Explore a little bit."

        "You know what Juli, Mark's right. You should start going out more. I know I'm not one to talk but how about this weekend. We go out. I don't mean to get all fancy. Just go out for fun. It's okay if you don't want to find a boy to date but it'll be fun if we all go out!" Even though Mona is usually the one that never goes out, she's right. It's better if I explore the city more. Especially if I end up moving back to Mayfield, I'd want to spend these next few years with my best friends.

        "You know what? You're right Mona. We'll go explore the city more. How about Saturday? At 1? We'll be out all day long!"

        "And afterward we can go to my house and have a sleepover!"

        "Sounds like a plan!" Mark told us.

        "Oooohhhh, 2 more days till then!"

        I was getting ready for our hang out tonight and I was so excited about it! I was wearing a blue long-sleeved shirt with black jeans and my blue converse. I brushed my hair and teeth. Right when I finished. The doorbell rang.

        "BYE EVERYONE! SEE YOU TOMORROW!" When I saw them outside, I heard Mark yell out,

        "HURRY UP BITCH!" I got in the car and we drove off. (Mark is 15, so he has his learner's permit.)

        "So where do you guys wanna go?" Mona asked.

        "Um, Let's go to Downtown Chicago. Find a parking space, and walk around."
