Weekend Plans

Juli Baker's POV:

At school the next day I can't help but feel as if someone was staring at me. When I turn my head I noticed that Bryce was the one staring at me. I turned my head away and wrote him a note. I passed the note to him. The note said, "Quit staring at me, it's annoying and creepy."  I turned to see if he got the note.

As he was reading the note he did that infamous smirk that makes girls swoon over him in a heartbeat. He wrote something down and I looked away before he noticed I was looking at him. He passed the note back to me saying, "Sorry you just look so beautiful today."

As I was writing on the note I looked up and saw Ms.Brown coming towards me. She took the note out of my hands and said, "Would you like to read this note in front of the class Ms.Baker?" As I got up from my seat and walked towards the front of the classroom, I heard Bryce shout, "It's not her fault! ...It's mine."

I turned around and I just stared at him in confusion. Ms.Brown asked, "And how is it your fault, Bryce?" "Because I was the one staring at her. So she passed me a note telling me to please stop."

I was thinking, why would he stand up for me? I'm not someone that boys would fall for. I'm just a girl. Nothing more. "Well, that doesn't matter because you and Ms.Baker will be staying after school cleaning up the classroom for open house on Thursday."

I didn't bother to protest. I just gave Bryce the death glare and he mouthed, "I'm sorry."

As for me and my best friend, Dana sat at our lunch table, we started talking about our days. I then noticed that Bryce and his NEW best friend, Dave, were walking towards us. (Dave is also the guy that Jen chose for $15 at the Basket Boys Auction.)

"Oh god. Dana brace yourself."

"Wait what wh-"

"Hey ladies do you mind if we sit here?", Bryce interrupted.

"Yes, we do mi-"

"Of course you can sit with us!", Dana said enthusiastically.

I gave Dana the death glare but she pretends she didn't notice. "Hey did you guys watch Wheel of Fortune last night?", Dave said. "You watch that too! Omg, I cannot believe that the girl couldn't guess that word!" As Dana and Dave were talking about Wheel of Fortune, it's as fate brought me and Bryce together. And oh boy I was mad at Dana right now.

"So Juli...I wanted to tell you something."

"Well make it quick I'm mad at you."

"...I think we should name the tree."

I almost had my water come out of my nose for a second. "Why would we do that?" "Because it's basically our child! And everyone has a name...so why not name it." "OK well, what should we name it?" "I think we should name it Daniel."

"Why so you can make fun of it so it will never grow?!" As soon as I blurted it out, I regretted it. It went silent. I really did love the tree! It was probably the best gift I have ever gotten! But I couldn't let him know that.

"So then I guess we're not naming the tree then.",Bryce said.

I felt bad for him. So I said, "I think we should name it Will." You could see his face light up so quickly. "I like Will! It has a nice ring to it." "So it's decided. The name will be Will." He was smiling at me.

"Hey Juli, (heard you got that drip ;) ) do you wanna go to the movies with me and Dave tomorrow on Saturday?" "No way! I'm not trying to be a third wheel!" "Please, Juli! Remember you owe me from the last time." I was hoping she forgot about the incident. "If you want I can go so I can keep Juli company, Dana.", Bryce interrupted.

"HA! Like Dana would want you to go! Good one Bryce!" "Actually yes I would like you to come! Thank you for volunteering Bryce!" I sighed in disappointment but looks like I have to deal with it. "So then it's settled. We're all going to the movies tomorrow." "Looks like it.", Bryce said.
