"So this is the new security system that was installed yesterday, whenever you need to enter any door you have a key card that gives you permission to enter; depending on your position as staff you're only authorized to enter a room you're needed in"

I'm not the best at technical stuff nor am I an expert in wiring but, I did have a well understanding as to what was happening in terms of computers.

But this

This is like trying to rewire a space ship manual that's in twenty different languages or something.

"Y/N?"

"Who?"

"You"

"Oh, I thought that was another file or code maybe even a security tag"

Hiroto laughed at my dumbfounded form; I watched him intently as he grabbed the key card and placed it over my neck, it was like a necklace but instead of a pretty object displayed on it, my identity was displayed.

"Here" he said before I lowered my head enough for him to place the necklace around my neck "Now whenever you need to enter or leave anywhere you have my full permission"

I held the card that was situated just below my chest, my full name was written on the card as well as my position and ID number for the company "Can I go anywhere?" He nodded he's head "You have my full permission to go anywhere you want, except the males bathroom of course" I rolled my eyes at he's comment, what could I possibly want to do in the males bathroom?

"Ew" I uttered as my eyes landed on a sqaure framed picture "This is the picture they took of me when I got the job, look how bad I looked" Hiroto gently grabbed the card from my hand and stared at the said picture.

"Nonsense" he said as he handed the card back to me "You looked beautiful then and you look even better now" as much complaints as he could give, it didn't change the fact that I changed over the last two months of working here; although it may have not been major changes in my life, they are surely ones I treasure.

"Anyway, I think I see someone coming through to our department" I pointed at the camera screen that revealed a tall Japanese women with short black hair and a full face of make-up taking the elevator to our floor "Haha she looks kinda like you"

To my dismay Hiroto was very not happy with the sight infront of him "Y/N go inside your office and do not come out until I call for you" I frowned my eyebrows confounded at what was happening "Why?" persistence was clear in my tone, Hiroto knew at times I won't take no for an answer; it was me being stubborn and he hated when I got like that.

"Y/N that's my mother" It left as if all the color was drained from my body and the feeling of nothing was left at my palms "Oh I-I don't think I'm ready to meet the parents" I said while patting my hair down making sure no loose strands were peeking out as well as making sure my uniform was neat.

"Please just stay in your office and don't come out" "Why can't I meet her I'm your girlfriend aren't I?" he turned to me and grabbed my hands rubbing he's thumbs on my hands soothing me "Yes you are and as much as I'd love to show you off to the world especially her, there are things that take time and my mother knowing we're together should take as much time as possible"

I stood there watching he's frantic form run around he's office making sure everything is fine and that nothing is out in the ordinary. I knew he and he's mother had a ruinous relationship for years but, seeing it in person reminded me about the relationship I had with my mother.

"I understand" I spoke breaking Hiroto from he's work "My mother and I aren't always on good terms as I've previously told you, that she can't even acknowledge my younger brother" I clenched my hands into a fist feeling my nails dig into my skin.

"So I'll stay in my office until needed, I anway have some work I need to do that I haven't finished" "Miss L/N have you been slacking off" "No! I was just busy that's all" He smiled sweetly at me before walking over to me and embracing me "Thank you" I returned the embrace as I placed a soft kiss on he's cheek "You're welcome"

Suddenly, three knocks were heard outside the door; we both looked at each other knowing exactly who was behind the door "I'll see you in a bit" I said as Hiroto winked at me making my heart melt, I walked into my office and closed the blinds only leaving a very small space to see inside.

I sat on my chair and took out some papers I had to work on "Come in" I heard Hiroto speak as the door opened, I watched he's mother walked in she looked much younger than what he had described her, more youthful.

"Hello mother how are you?" she scanned the room looking around at he's surrounds "I'm quite well, how are you?" he smiled at her as he took a seat at he's desk "So what do I owe the pleasure of your visit?" she gasped dramatically putting her hand on her chest "I can't visit my son without reason?" "You and I both know that you won't do things without reason"

She laughed at he's remark "Well you're not wrong boy, I came to invite you over our little family gathering we're having before attending the Award Ceremony for Rachael Bellows, Jared Wilson and of course the others"

The what now?

I heard Hiroto sigh before he stood up again "I see, I'll make an agreement to attend" She smiled widely at he's agreement "Excellent, I'll give you more details once it's all finalized; without you we wouldn't have this gathering considering it's family and close friends only" she said as she walked over to the window that I was currently looking through.

Oh crap did she see me?

"Who's in the room?" Her tone was full of curiosity she never hesitated once when she spoke.

Oh crap she saw me!

"My personal assistant's office" "Oh? Is she perhaps the one who disarmed the bomb?" my heart was racing, she knew about the whole incident that occurred, oh man I wonder if she thinks Hiroto was a fool for letting that happening.

"Yes, she is currently busy with work right now so it would be best if we don't disturb her" She sighed before running a hand through her hair making it slightly disheveled "Very well, you should bring her over you and her had seemed very close in the pictures they took of you that day" "I was only trying to protect my staff, I wouldn't want nothing but for them to feel safe here"

She stayed quiet until her phone began to ring "Hello? Yes I understand I'll be down in a minute" she said her tone of voice not changing once "Well I better go, the company needs me" She said as she walked towards the door opening it slightly.

"Oh and Hiroto next time try not to destroy our family business, it would be a shame if I'd have to take all this away from you" Hiroto clenched he's hands biting he's lip "Understood" he's words came out harsh and quiet barely above a whisper "Good, I'll take my leave then"

I watched as she exited the room and Hiroto was left alone, I didn't want to walk in just yet I gave him time to collect he's thoughts and plus; he hasn't called me to come in yet.
