"That's enough," an oh-so-familiar voice said, both their heads moved towards the deep threatening voice from behind "Get your hands off her" immediately Hanata let me go, Aurora stumbled back grabbing onto her strap.
Her heart was beating like crazy; Aurora was frightened she was never in such a situation before, she didn't know what to do in this situation it looked really bad "Ugh this wasn't even worth my time the whole damn house knew about you two the second you walked in" "And why were we such a big problem or should I say I, why was I such a big problem" he glared at her his stubbornness showed.
"Best you explain it to her" "Leave", Hiroto said, Aurora could see how tight he clenched his hands into a fist he's nails digging into his skin. It wasn't long before Hanata was gone, Hiroto walking towards me wrapping his arms around me tightly, I could feel his chest rise as he breathed a sigh of relief.
He tied the strap that was loose around my neck "I never got to swim what a waste to put this on" Aurora said humourous trying to lighten the mood. "I'll explain everything to you on the way home alright; I think you and I had enough family time for a while" Aurora nodded her head before he kissed her forehead and left.
The night was peaceful surprisingly, Hanata never showed up for dinner which in Aurora's case was the best, and his mother couldn't help but glare at her not once smiling, not speaking; it was painfully obvious she had enough of her. The awkward atmosphere made Aurora lose her appetite not being able to taste what she was eating was tedious.
"That should be everything right?" Hiroto asked packing their bags in his car "I hope so if not it stays here forever and will most probably get burnt" Hiroto looked at Aurora with a look of worry she could see what happened was eating at him and to make matters worse no one said a single thing "Sorry"
Ever since last night Hiroto has been quiet, he wasn't really talking much to me or anyone else for that matter. He told Hokoru what Hanata did and informed his mother. Hanata never apologized because well, he ran away to who knows where.
"I'm sorry you had such an experience at our home Aurora, I wish things would have gone better" Aurora shook her head towards Yuki's response "Either way bad or good, I got to meet his family which is what matters at the end"
Not a second later Yuki engulfed her with bone crushing hug "I'm going to miss you so much and I'm happy you and Hiroto are together I couldn't ask for a better match" Aurora wrapped her arms around her returning the embrace.
"Right your car is all packed up", Hokoru said before slamming the car hood shut "We are going to miss you Miss Clark all three of us" "You guys act as if I'll never see you again" "Well having you around was fun beside the conflict and bitter time", Hashiro said before he hugged me too, Hokoru joined in as well.
"Alright boys that's enough you don't want to make Hiroto jealous", Miss Hanyu said as she walked up to me, the boys moved aside and stood next to Hiroto while we spoke.
Aurora held her breath fully aware of the scolding and perhaps smack she'd get for causing so much trouble Aurora's cheeks were puffed and her eyes were flinching "Your stay here was problematic and to the say least I wouldn't want you back here" Aurora gulped as she spoke her eyes stayed on hers "That's a bit harsh mother"
Hiroto said as he stood behind Aurora "I'm talking, do not speak" Hiroto was quiet, he knew his place to not argue with his mother he has the most respect for her out of all his brothers.
"Regardless I think you're a lovely lady, your courage and bravery for my son and the company say much about you. I hope to see you again just not at my house I can't bear to deal with the conflict you conjure everywhere you go" Aurora let out a sigh and relaxed her face; feeling the mood lighten up slightly.
"I know, I completely understand" his mom smiled at Aurora before she bowed her head "Thank you for having me stay here, your hospitality will not go unnoticed" she bowed her head as well before we raised our heads in sync "Do keep our conversation in mind" "I will" for the first time Aurora felt a good connection with her, it might not be the best they've had but, she believes they'll get there.
"Bye, everyone!" I waved as we drove off, their calls of wishing us a safe trip and saying we should come back became inaudible as we drive away.
"So" I piped as I turned down the radio and watched as Hiroto drove keeping his eyes on the road "Why was your brother so harsh towards me, why does your family feel the need to pressure me to be close to you and what the hell are they talking about with your previous assistants!"
He sighed not in the least interested in having this conversation.
But why?
Why is he so reluctant on telling me this?
"This happened around a month before you joined by then everything calmed down, do you remember the conflict my business had before you arrived?" I nodded my head "Yes, Jessica had informed me about it actually, how you guys stopped working at the pace you usually did and several assistants and workers just left" he nodded his head "That's right the reason for that was because for the past few years whenever I hired an assistant they would always steal money, use my name for whatever reason and lie"
His eyes were stern and he looked seriously hurt even "Soon I stopped hiring assistant's and my work was falling I had the worst downfall, shortly my mother had seen this and she wasn't happy in the slightest so she hired family and relatives to help but, it didn't work out. They got more investors and much more business opportunities, it was all well they got my company and my name to the top they won the awards for my company they found the best candidates for modeling, I inherited it I don't deserve any of this"
"Cut the crap Hiroto"
"Pardon?"
"Don't deserve it, they did it all; are you insane do you understand how much of an asset you are so what if you inherit most of your business you do a lot as it is. I didn't even inherit anything of my family and look where I am but, that's not the point"
We stayed silent for a few minutes before he spoke again "Soon enough I was by myself again for a while until this beautiful woman came in she looked so nervous her papers kept falling-" "It was an accident!" he started laughing he's smile came back and he's mood lightened.
"I thought wow finally someone who doesn't have a powerful economic background and someone who seems trustful, she shortly started doing overtime work and always made me delicious coffee without fail and soon enough I started getting romantic feelings for her unexpectedly and soon enough one very drunk night when I asked her something I thought she'd refuse she agreed and since then my business was going great with her help and I was back on my feet"
My cheeks were red and hot I was blushing profusely about it all "Seriously that's it?" "Well what did you expect happened" I grabbed his shoulders and stared into his eyes "Murder!" we laughed at my childishness "No nothing like that just genuine concern and mistakes"
It felt as if there was a big weight being lifted off my shoulders "Well I guess that settles it why don't we head back to your place and rest for a bit I'm pretty sure you must be worried about Doro" I shook my head "Jessica is looking after him for me since I was gone but I don't mind"
We smiled at each other before he pressed lips against mime, everything was back to normal.
