"Ahhhh!" Aurora gazed upon the monster she found inside her apartment. "How did you get inside here?" Aurora frantically yelled as she placed her stuff on the polished wooden coffee table and slowly approached the beast, looking around for Doro the dog must have scared him away. "Nice doggy, nice doggy." Aurora got closer to the beast who claimed her couch and their throne. "Oh Aurora, I didn't think you'd be home so early." Aurora heard an oh-so-familiar voice emerge from my bathroom. "It's eleven fifty in the night, Mom," Aurora said, witnessing her mother leave the dark bathroom. "Well, late at night was always your time to work so, I thought I might as well make myself at home." Aurora sighed, switching on the light in the kitchen. "Oh, please, can you at least act a little happy to see me?" mother dearest said.
"Yes, Mom, I am happy to see you." "That's sarcasm, honey; I know you better to hear my daughter's tone." Aurora sighed as the judgment came out of her mother's mouth. "Mom, what are you doing here?" "What? Can't a mother visit her one and only daughter?" Aurora sighed, "Fine Aurora, if you don't want me here, I'll leave; all I wanted to do was see you again and spend time with you." Aurora relentlessly made her way to her bedroom. "You can stay, Mom, but I have work early tomorrow morning if you've forgotten." Aurora's mom smiled brightly as if she knew Aurora would give in.
"Oh, wonderful. I knew my daughter was good," she said as she began poking around her apartment like some kid in a candy store. "Just don't break anything, please, and get that dog out!" Aurora yelled, pointing at the beast, who was now biting on her couch. "Aww, but he can't be outside all alone." Aurora stared her mother down, the apartment was kind to animals, but dogs were another problem they would bark and disrupt the other people living there. "Fine, you're just like your father, always so bossy," a smile crept on her lips. "That's good; I was Daddy's girl," Aurora's mother rolled her eyes at her "Well, make yourself at home, I'll see you tomorrow morning; you're sleeping on the couch," Aurora said before she entered the bathroom.
'You have got to be kidding me' Aurora thought aggressively walking to her bedroom she found her mom all snug in her bed. "Mom!" "Oh honey, the couch is so terrible to sleep on, and your bed is so soft and comfy-" Before she could even finish her sentence, she drifted off to sleep. Aurora sighed as she tucked her in bed before putting off the light. Even if Aurora wanted to sleep in her bed, it's a single bed, so both of them would feel uncomfortable sleeping in such a tight position.
Aurora heard whaling outside her door; giving in, she opened the door to invite the dog inside rather than getting a warning if the dog continued to make a noise. "If you dare shit in my apartment, I'll make sure you lose all your legs," Aurora threatened the dog as it just barked at her and ran following their owner's scent. Aurora yawned as her eyes couldn't stay open any longer. Aurora got a blanket wrapping it around herself as she collapsed on the couch, closing herself with the warm blanket and shutting her eyes. 'This couch was so freaking uncomfortable' Aurora thought unable to find a comfortable position to sleep, not to mention the annoying dog that started barking randomly in the middle of the night when Aurora was trying to sleep; emphasize trying.
Aurora would have time to get ready and leave in peace, her mother was still asleep and her alarm woke her up. Rubbing her tired eyes, Aurora got up and started wobbling to the bathroom to freshen up. Aurora imagined how it might have felt to have someone in here with her to enjoy the hot water. But, unfortunately, she was single and didn't have anyone in mind. Aurora could smell something good as she left the bathroom. 'Who's cooking breakfast?' Aurora thought as she slowly and carefully made her way to the kitchen to investigate where the smell was coming from. "Mom?!" Aurora yelled as she stared at her in confusion, "Oh morning, honey, how did you sleep?"
Aurora couldn't believe her mother was making her breakfast. "I didn't sleep at all, but what are you doing?" Aurora asked as she looked at the table full of food, "Oh, please, I'm not such a terrible mother. I made you and I breakfast." She wasn't kidding. There were pancakes, waffles, eggs and bacon, toast, and ham with orange juice. "This looks so good, Mom, but where did you get all these ingredients to make this food? I certainly did not have all this in the fridge." "I restocked your fridge considering there was barely anything inside it to begin with; no wonder you're so skinny." Aurora was surprised and hurt by being body-shamed. "I'm going to get ready for work, then come eat okay, so you can start eating without me," Aurora said as she walked to her room to get ready.
Rubbing her body with soft cream lotion, feeling her body smooth and fresh she got dressed and ready for work "Oh honey, you need to sleep more," Her mother said looking at Aurora, looking at herself in the mirror and seeing the obvious black shade under her eyes. "Maybe I should have my bed back," Aurora mumbled as she sat down, putting on her small heels that made her a little taller. "What to eat first?" She said to myself as she grabbed a knife and fork. "Oh, that's right. a young, wealthy-looking man parked up in the parking lot outside your window." Aurora froze. "What?" Aurora looked at her mom, then the window "See for yourself, he's been there ever since you began getting dressed and your phone has been ringing, but I respected your privacy and didn't answer." Oh my gosh, Aurora utterly forgot that her car was still at work.
"So, who is he?" Her mom asked as she packed her breakfast in a lunchbox, expeditiously fast grabbing her bag and things, "He is my boss; he's here to pick me up because my car is at work." "Don't tell me you're sleeping with your boss," her mother said as Aurora grabbed everything. "No, Mom, I'll see you later. I got to go." Aurora kissed her on the cheek. "Bye, honey." Aurora tried to walk like a normal person to him as he stood outside his car. "I am beyond sorry, Mr. Han; my mom is driving me crazy, so I was a little late again," Aurora said, he just smiled. "No worries, I didn't know you lived with your mom." She shook her head. "She's visiting; she used to live with my dad. Let's just get going." "Alright, Eric let's go. And, don't worry you aren't late"
"Alright," he said as he opened the door for her like a gentleman. "Oi, I hope you're not sleeping with my daughter, mister!" Both of them heard her mother yell. "Get in quickly!" Aurora pulled Mr. Han into the car, driving off as her mom yelled. Aurora looked over at Mr. Han, who was attempting to hide his laugh, but wasn't working. "Real professional," he commented.
