Chapter 11: What color?

Hey guys.
It is almost spring break, therefore I am happy.
Yay spring!
Anziwayz... Chappy time!

"Conner, truth or dare?"
Kristoff asked me.

They didn't even have to ask the question.
"Dare."

"I dare you to get on Chiron's back and act like your a cowboy."

I gulped. Chiron already hated me for starting a food fight last week at dinner!
Travis patted me on the back.

"Well, it was nice knowing you!"

With sweaty hands I started out to the big house, with Kristoff, Travis, and Leo trailing behind me. I saw Chiron come out the door in full white stallion mode, and holding a clipboard.

"Um...Hey Chiron."

"Why hello there Conner. How are you?"

"I-I'm good."

"Well that's good. I would love to catch up, but there are some things I need to attend to. So if you will excuse me.."

He started to clop off when I hopped on his back. Chiron stopped suddenly.

"Conner. What in are you doing."
His voice was deadly calm.

"Erm..RIDE EM' COWBOY!"
I yelled and pantomimed a lasso. Chiron turned to where he could see me out of the corner of his eye.

"Conner Stoll what in Hades do you think you are doing."
His tail flicked angrily but his voice remained eerily calm.

"Heh heh...Giddy up horsy?"

I walked into the Poseidon cabin with twigs and leaves sticking to my shirt and hair.

"So." Percy started, trying to hold back a laugh. "How did it go?"

"Let's just say that I have been chosen to help with cleaning up after Mrs. O'Leary for the next week."
I said as I sat down on the floor next to Travis.

I got some oh's at my predicament and Kristoff showed the video he caught. Everyone laughed at the end when Chiron flipped me off of his back and I landed in a bush.

"Well the good part is, now it's my turn!" I rubbed my hands together like an evil scientist.

"Annabeth, truth or dare?"

"Hmm, dare."

Oh this was going to be fun.

"I dare you to hold whatever I go out and find for 10 seconds, at least."

"Um, ok?"

She clearly had no idea what was coming to her.

I quickly sprinted to the Hermes cabin and groped around in the closet for a minute before my hand landed on a black box. I grabbed it and hurried back to the game. Handing Annabeth the box, I said,
"Ok now open it."

She cautiously took the lid off and her face grew white with fright.

"What's in it?" Piper asked, leaning forward.

"A sp-spider!!"
She made a move to throw the box at a window but I stopped her.

"Uh uh uh! You've gotta touch it!"

"I will kill you later."

"Take your time."

A bead of sweat rolled down her forehead. She took one shaky hand down into the box.

"EW EW EW EW ITS LOOKING AT ME!"

I gave her a look and she rolled her eyes at me.

"Ok fine. But I will hurt you as soon as I'm done with this."

She reached down and touched the spider ever so slightly.

"Ok there I'm done."

"No your not! I told you to HOLD it."

"No way am I doing that."

"I did dare you!"

Annabeth turned her attention to the spider. It's hairy legs attempting to scale the thick walls. She lowered her hand down and picked up the spider. Everyone started counting down.

"10! 9! 8! 7! 6!"

"GAH!!!"
Annabeth flung the spider across the room. It landed by Jason. Before I had the chance to grab it, he raised his foot and stomped on the poor little spidy. Travis gasped.

"YOU KILLED HIM!!!!"

"Sorry man, instinct."

We all laughed while Annabeth went into the bathroom to wash her hands. After about 5 minutes, she finally came back and sat down next to Percy.

"Alright, I believe it's my turn?"
