Summer's outfit

A new day had come, the two got ready together, ate breakfast together and drove to work together. Summer and Spencer made their way into headquarters, into the elevator and up to the 6th floor, there was a red hair woman sitting on top of Summer's desk she was facing Emily who had a very concerned look on her face biting her bottom lip her eyes darting from the woman to Summer rapidly. Spencer and Summer walked up to her desk "Can i help you?" Summer said pleasantly "Summer that's no way the greet an old friend" the woman said and as soon as Summer heard the voice her stomach dropped her heart began to race her palms were sweaty she felt physically uncomfortable and now Emily's look made sense because that woman was Cassie she turned around and looked Summer up and down "Cassie.." Summer could barely get out.

"Yeah Summer.. It's me" Cassie said rolling her eyes "W-what are you doing at the BAU?" Summer asked Spencer could hear the tears choking in her throat "I came to play with you Summer, to see what you have made of yourself and to be honest I really don't know how you got here" Cassie said with a nasty chuckle, Spencer decided to intervene at this point he could sense the dynamic between them Cassie had all the power and Summer was terrified. "You need to get off Summer's desk so she can start her work for the day" Spencer said firmly, Cassie turned to look at the man she didn't recognise "Oh Summer, didn't realise you got yourself a little boyfriend" she said looking Spencer up and down like he was some sort of snack "Not really your type Sum though is it?" She said tilting her head then turning to Spencer "She doesn't usually last with anyone but me so this is surprising" she said smiling "She's a great woman..it's not that surprising" Spencer said.

Cassie bursted out into a fit of laughter, "Jeez Summer what have you been telling these people, do they even know the real you?" she said shooting Summer a some what of a serious look. Luke and Chase entered the bullpen "Ah shit" Luke said "Who's that?" Chase said "That's Summer's crazy ex girlfriend" Luke said "Ex girlfriend?" Chase questioned "She's never mentioned her before" Chase said so confused "Yeah it's because she's a terrible person who has done terrible things to Summer" Luke said "How do you know her?" Chase asked "She broke Summers heart on a fugitive case once" Luke said "I am going to have to go over there and get rid of her" Luke said walking up to Summer, Cassie and Spencer "Luke Alvez, wow what a blast from the past don't tell me you work with Summer as well" Cassie said "Cassie I think it's time you left" Luke said firmly.

"I can't leave without getting the little boyfriends name" Cassie said tapping her finger to her lip "Dr Spencer Reid" Spencer said bluntly "Ooo a Dr? That's a kink I never knew you had Summer. Were you holding out on me?" Cassie said Summer couldn't bring the words out on her throat so she remained looking at the floor as she shook her head "Cassie" Luke said "Alright alright.. 5 foot 3 Australian beauty don't say I didn't warn you Dr. Always a pleasure, bye Summer" Cassie said hopping off Summer's desk and walking out of the BAU. Everyone turned to look at Summer "Are you ok?" Spencer said putting a hand on her shoulder gripping it tightly with love. Summer took a deep breath holding back tear she turned around and walked right out of that room through the glass doors, down the hall and straight to the bathroom.

She bursted through the doors of the bathroom stall and threw up immediately, emptying the entire contents of her stomach. She never believed she would come face to face with Cassie again, let alone have to speak with her and have her criticise her and the people she loved. Summer's past with Cassie was toxic, Cassie had Summer wrapped around her finger she would have done anything for that woman but Cassie was toxic she made Summer believe the worst things possible about herself and more importantly she made her believe she wasn't worthy of love that she deserved to be alone and mistreated. Summer sat on the floor of the bathroom pulled her legs to her chest and just cried, she hadn't felt this unstable about a person since well her relationship with Cassie. The bathroom door opened and she could hear footsteps, "Summer.." it was Spencer calling out for her, "Summer it's ok it's me Spencer open the door" he said you could hear the worry in his voice.

Summer stood up and opened the door tears rolling down her cheek "Summer, don't cry, please don't cry" he said as he pulled her into a hug "Don't worry about her, it's fine, it's all going to be fine" he said while stroking the back of her head. "Come on let's wash your face, go out and get a drink of water and start the day" Spencer said holding her face in his hands and that she did she walked up to the sink and washed her face dried it with some paper towel and then grabbed Spencer's hand and made her way out with him back into the bullpen all the way to her desk. Spencer came back a put a cup of water next to her she looked up at him and mouthed "thank you" he smiled and nodded his head walking over and taking a seat at his desk.
