Summer's outfit ...
"Keep still this may sting a little" Spencer said dabbing Summers arm with a wound cleansing wipe Summer flinching at the stinging sensation on her arm "Spence you don't have to do this" Summer said looking down at him caring for her so softly. "Yes I do Summer, I care about you, this is something I most definitely need to do" Spencer said finishing of bandaging Summer's arm. "No ones going to hurt you Summer, I have told you this before, I won't let anyone touch you" Spencer said rubbing Summer's cheek with his thumb, she leant in placing a soft loving kiss on his sweet lips with of course was reciprocated "I am scared Spence" Summer said her eyes beginning the full with tears yet again. "Hey Summer don't cry, please don't cry" Spencer said pulling her into a hug "I don't want anyone to die because of me" she said tears beginning to fall "We are going to be ok Summer, I promise, now let's go back and see what we can do about this" Spencer said grabbing her hand and leading her back to the round table room.
Both returning to their seats they sat and joined the conversation, "We each need to take Summer for the night and be on 24 hour watch of her" Luke said "You make me sound like a dog or something" Summer said with a tiny smile "I don't mean too, just making it even" Luke said. Emily came back in the room after having to take a phone call "The directors assistant Linda Barnes, she..uh would like Chase, Summer and Bryan to attend an academy lecture two days from now to speak with up and coming agents about what it's like to be young and in the FBI" Emily said "Are you serious? Barnes is back? Does she know the current situation?" Rossi questioned sounding pissed off, "She's completely aware but does not want to draw attention to the unit by taking Summer off duty or stopping usual activities of the unit" Emily said rolling her eyes "Does that mean we will be working cases?" JJ asked "Well it will look like we are working cases but I have asked Garcia to slow everything right down until we can catch this guy" Emily said rubbing her forehead "I want this to be our main focus" Emily said firmly.
"So we are lecturing? Is this lady for real" Bryan said "Yeah it's for real" Summer said making a coffee "I don't know how I am going to pull it together up there" She said taking a sip of coffee "Hey we will be there every single second of it" Chase said patting her on the back. The three of them made their way back into the round table room "So who is having me for the night" Summer said with a chuckle trying to make light of the situation "Spencer said you could stay with him tonight, if that's ok with you?" Luke said "Ah yeah of course, I mean I will stay wherever and with whoever as long at it's convenient for you all" Summer said with a nervous smile knowing she most definitely would want to be staying with Spencer always. "Alright then that's settled" Spencer said with a smile packing up his files "Ok I want you or Spencer to be checking in with everyone on the group chat at 12am, 3am and 6am and everyone at the office by 8am sharp, that goes for everyone Summer stays with, if you miss a check in we will assume the worst and everyone will be called to head over to your house" Emily stated firmly. "No worries Emily" Spencer said with a smile.
Everyone said their goodbyes and to say they were all nervous no one knew when the mystery man could strike and it made it worse that there was no face or name just a suspect that wasn't even really a suspect at the moment, Nathan Hooper was all they had. Summer and Spencer arrived at his apartment, it was exactly the same way they left it but Spencer did a thorough search before letting Summer come in any further "Ok I have checked everything, it's clear" Spencer said pulling her into a hug she started to cry again "Hey Summer it's ok shhh shh..you're ok" he said stroking her head "I...can't.....do th-this" Summer said sobbing. "Yes you can Summer, we are all here for you" Spencer said, "Come on do you want me to order us some Chinese?" Spencer asked "Yeah I guess that will be nice" Summer said.
They finished up eating and Summer went to get ready for bed, she was brushing her teeth when she saw a tiny flash come from the bathroom window, she slowly wiped her mouth and left the bathroom. She knew if she made a scene and someone was actually out there it was cause a chaotic reaction, she kept thinking of what Luke said we just have to play it better. She grabbed her gun and stuck her head out of Spencer's door, motioning him to come over "What's wrong?" he said "Shh, I saw a tiny flash come from the bathroom window" she said whispering. He pulled Summer behind him and got his gun and led them into the bathroom, opening the bathroom window slowly, "It's clear" he said but I found this, he was holding up a tiny camera "The unsub isn't here but is obviously watching" Spencer said this made Summer sick to the stomach as she had just took a shower in that bathroom realising the unsub was watching her. "Let's let the team know" Summer said.
BAU group chat.
Spencer: Hey guys we just found a tiny camera outside of my bathroom window.
Emily: Shit!
Rossi: That jag off
Luke: No evidence of anyone there?
Summer: No, nothing just the camera.
Tara: Are you ok Summer?
JJ: Yes how are you feeling? You and Spencer can come stay here if you guys don't feel comfortable anymore.
Chase: Keep the camera Garcia and Bryan can analyse it tomorrow.
Garcia: Yes we can and we will my sugarplums.
Bryan: Glad to hear you guys are ok. Keep checking in.
Spencer: We are going to stay here, shutting off a cam may cause some escalation so will be checking in.
Summer: I am ok guys, see you tomorrow.
Summer laid down in Spencer's bed, Spencer took a seat next to the bedside table he had brought in a pile of books and a pot of coffee "Spence you need to sleep" Summer said "I am not sleeping Summer I need to know you're safe if anything happened to you I don't know what I would do" he said "And to make sure of that I am tying this rope to your wrist and my wrist if you move I will feel it" he said as he ties the rope around both of their wrists. "Thank you for doing this Spence, Goodnight, love you" she said closing her eyes internally freaking about what she just let slip. Spencer's eyes widened and his mouth opened thinking did she mean that or is she just stressed none the less he said it back "Goodnight and...ah love you too" he said softly. He watched Summer fall asleep softly and peacefully thinking about all the ways he will keep her safe.
