"This should not be that hard, darling."  Doctor Jared spoke closely to my ears.

"I know..."  I bit my nails.

"Don't be scared.  I'm here all the time til you wake up.  I have done this milion times.  You'll be fine."  He held my hands.  "Be right back okay?"

"Okay."  I nodded nervously to this darkness.

But yeah, hopefully after the next 2 hours, there'll be some lights again for me to live on.  It's been a total of almost 20 days I was living with my blind eyes, and be patient all the time til this hospital in New York gave their donor to me.  Doctor Jared has worked real hard for me, indeed.  And after all, I appreciated him.  Just one last touch before I can live perfectly like I was once before.

"Nurse, get her inside."  Doctor Jared's voice was like far away but clear enough.

"Mom..."  I groaned.

"I'm here baby.  Will be here when you wake up."  She kissed me goodbye before the nurses took my bed inside the surgery room.

"Oh gosh..."  I cried.

"Nothing bad will happen."  The nurse accompanied me all the time.

Slowly but sure, I felt really sleepy.  I guess they have given me the anesthetic injection through my infusion.  I slept already within 10 seconds.  After all, next time I wake up, I better can  see my family again.  God, please be with me.

"Angel...?"  A voice just woke me up from a very long deep sleep.

"Ugh..."  I held my head.

"Hey hey, don't do that.  Don't touch anything.  It's normal.  You feel dizzy.  It's Mom."  She stopped my hand.

"Okay okay."  I nodded.  "Where are you guys?"

"I'm here love."  I felt somebody's lips on mine.

"Connor?"  I tried to grab his hands.

"Here here.  Not going anywhere."  He sit beside me, I guess.

"Good afternoon!"  Doctor Jared's specific cheer has got me trying to sit.  "Oh no not yet baby girl.  Stand still.  Hahaha..."

"Why laughing."  I pouted my lips.

"Because..."

He didn't say anything.  Everything was so quiet.  I felt my heartbeats gone faster than before.  Was it failed, the surgery was failed?  I wouldn't be able to see anymore?

"Doctor?"  I shouted.

"Just a moment."  He cut off something on my head.  I felt like being wrapped like a freaking mummy.

My body was trembling so hard.  Where's everybody though?  I once heard Mom's voice and Dad's gasp that I really know the most.  And then Connor's kiss.  But they're like gone.  I felt being left alone in this room.  Not funny.  I want to know if this works.

"Open your eyes.  Slowly.  Don't push anything, don't rub your eyes.  Easy..."

Doctor Jared counted 1 to 10 to maximize my eyes' ability to catch the lights.  He asked the nurse to turn off the light first, and just probably rely on sunshine which went through the window in front of me.  I slowly opened my eyes up.  Very slowly.  Still nothing.  It's like I've tried so hard to catch anything but still so blurry, but it's white, instead of dark.

Slowly, my eyes adjust the light.  Wow...  That's...

"Window..."  I murmured.  I heard everybody's gasping.  Oh, so they're here.

"Sun...shine..."  I smiled so happily.  This is working, even very slowly, it's working.

"My flower pot."  I still spoke to myself.  I saw this grey flower pot in front of me, even though I remember it's not even grey when I bought it.

As I tried to gain everything, I couldn't hold myself from crying.  I was in tears, burst out crying happily.  I can see again.  I get my sight back.  But in the mean time I tried to look here and there all the way through the entire room, somebody's silhouette got my attention.

It's Connor, holding a ring, kneeled before my bed.

"WHAT ON EARTH IS HAPPENING HERE..."  I stuttered.

He's rude.  I can't even see his face clearly yet.  But yeah, it's my boyfriend.  I know it.  I took another minute to see everybody's face.  Mom, Dad, Riley, Toby, Thomas, Ryan, and Doctor Jared.

"So that I don't want to deal with anymore doubts."  He smiled in confidence, slipping the ring into my finger.  "I want to marry you someday."

"Connor!"  I finally got my very clearest sight of eyes, and immediately hugged him.  Everybody cheered.  I saw Mom's crying.

"I love you."  He spoke between the crock of my neck.

"I love you too."  I blinked my tears on his shoulders.

"Welcome aboard, sister!"  Toby hugged me right away.

"Heey thank you!"  I hugged back.

"I know it since day one.  You're the one for my brother.  It's a yes from entire family."  Riley smiled and kissed my cheek.

"Wait...what?"  I was confused.

"Hello Angelica."

Suddenly two adults figure came inside my room.  I needed few seconds to get my sight on them, as well as tried to remind mysefl who they are.

"I'm Mark, and this is Joan.  Their parents."  They both gave me hugs.

"Oh my goodness..."  I tried so hard to sit.

"Stop it!  Oh gosh this lady will never stop making my heart drop."  Doctor Jared rolled his eyes.

"Good morning Doctor!"  I cheered loudly as everybody laughed.  "Thank you for giving my sight back."

"My pleasure sweetheart."  He came toward me, checked on my eyes, and excused himself to leave us alone.

"Glad you're fine."  My Dad immediately hugged me too.  Wow, it's literally everybody's hugging me at this point.  And I know for sure, Dad's been really sad.

"I love you Daddy.  I'm sorry for everything."  I buried my face inside his hug.  "MOM!"

"Hahaha...  I'm here honey."  She and I cried together.  "Good things will come to those who waits."

"Indeed."  I chuckled in tears.

"So, you marry me?"  Connor ended up sitting on my bed.

"And you don't even ask it nicely?"  I rolled my eyes.

"That would be too plain.  Just say yes or something already."

He kissed me in front of both parents.  So rude.  Rudely beautiful.  Of course, it's Connor, you never can expect anything.  But after all, I'm happy, that for everything has happened in my life, a true lover will never leave.
