Reese's POV
The business world is too small for us not to meet. Alam kong mangyayari rin 'to. There's a possibility na maging partners din ang kompanya namin. Pero hindi ko inakalang ganito kaaga.
"Reese, you can just ask someone to handle Adam, hindi naman necessary na ikaw pa," Damien looked exasperated. 3 days ago when I heard he's back and that day, I received a message telling me they want a partnership with our company.
Preston Empire and Aphrodite. If the deal's closed, we'll be the most powerful. And that is what we aim for.
"This is business, Damien. Professional dapat tayo." I said with full of authority.
"Huh," he sarcastically responded. "Business ba talaga? Or you wanna see him?!" Damien's mad. I can see it in his eyes. Nanginginig din sya.
"Ano bang problema mo?" What he said was the cue. Wala ba syang tiwala sa akin?
"Maybe you just want him to fuck you again!"
I slapped him. Hard.
Alam nya ang nakaraan ko. I trusted him with my deepest secrets but offending me? Ang sabihin yon? Wala syang karapatan.
"I-I'm sorry. Reese, please forgive me," he's stuttering. Kinuha nya ang mga palad ko at hinawakan iyon ng mahigpit habang nakatungo. Maya-maya na lang umaalog na ang mga balikat nya. I heard him sob.
"I'm just afraid," panimula nya. My heart softened. Ayoko syang nakikita na ganito. "Nagawa na nya dati eh, he took you away from my love. I'm afraid you'll leave me again,"
I know I did this to him. I hurt him before. I chose Adam over this man in front of me. I sighed. I touched his cheeks.
"I am not gonna leave you again. I promise." And I kissed him slowly, passionately. Showing him that I am for real and I will never go away.

"Ma'am, nandyan na po si Mr. Adam Spencer." Sabi ng sekretarya ko. I'm currently in my office.
This is it.
"Okay. Susunod na ako." At nginitian ko sya.
I fixed myself and let out a deep breathe. Kaya ko 'to. I am Aphrodite Reese Preston, the tigress of the business world and he is just a businessman, key to more power.
Naglakad na ako papunta sa conference room and they're all complete. My empire with his empire. I walked to my seat.
I feel that someone's gazing at me. And I feel so uncomfortable.
"Good--" I was about to greet them when he spoke.
"Five minutes late. How unprofessional."
