Adam's POV

Seeing her cry breaks everything in me. Kaya hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit nagawa ko syang saktan noon.

I believe that everyone deserves a second chance. Pero sa mga ginawa ko sa kanya? It's the best thing she can give me, another chance. At kung ibibigay nya iyon, I swear to God, hindi ko ito sasayangin.

"Reese, wake up," marahang paggising ko sa kanya. After finding her crying in her office, she asked me to take her anywhere and I did not protest.

For two hours, I drove until marating ko ang safe haven ko. I will share her my special place.

For a few seconds, I looked at her beautiful face. She was sleeping so peacefully, akala mo walang dinadalang mabigat na problema. Her pointed nose, red lips and pinkish cheeks. Napansin ko rin ang mahahaba at mapipilantik nyang mga pilikmata. Of all the beautiful places that I've been, ang mukha pa rin nya ang pinakamagandang bagay na nakita ko sa buong buhay ko.

"Hmm," she made a soft sound. Segundo lang ay dumilat na sya. "Nasaan tayo?"

"We're at my safe haven," I said. She looked at me, with that puzzled look plastered upon her face.

"Come on."

Bumaba kami ng kotse at naglakad ng kaunti. After ten minutes of walking, natanaw na namin ang munting kubo sa gitna ng kagubatan. I smiled, reminiscing the memories I had in this house. Dito ang takbuhan ko kapag may problema ako.

"Bakit mo ako dinala rito?" She asked me. Currently, we're inside the hut. May mga kawayang upuan at konting gamit tulad ng kutson, unan, kumot at damit.

"You asked me to take you anywhere," tugon ko. She remained silent. Her face looks so angelic. "Tell me, Reese. Bakit ka umiiyak kanina?"

She looked away and the silence became uncomfortable. Kinuha ko ang kamay nya at hinawakan ito. She finally looked at me and without a word, she cried.

Niyakap ko sya. She's shaking and crying so hard! Parang napakabigat ng pinagdadaanan nya. Gusto kong kunin na lang ang paghihirap nya. Mas okay akong masaktan kaysa makita syang ganito.

"Hush now, baby," at hinalikan ko ang noo nya. She looked at me intently.

"He cheated on me."

I automatically clenched my fist. That son of a bitch! Anong karapatan nyang paiyakin si Reese?!

"Tarantado pala sya eh! I told you, you don't deserve him!" Galit kong sabi. Her eyes began to fill with questions. "Then who deserves me?"

I wanna say that it's me but the realization hit me. Hindi ako perpekto. In fact, I was the first one who hurt Reese. How can I say, I deserve her if somehow, that douchebag and me are the same?
