Chapter 4

A few months later
Stark Industries
12pm

Tony barges into Kristina's office.
"Hey. We need to talk." Annoyed, she asks, "About what?" He sits down in the chair in front of her desk.
"I have someone coming by to drop off our outfits for tonight."

She looks up from the computer, confused.
"Our outfits?"
"Yes. There's a charity ball tonight & you, Kristina, are going as my...companion." She chuckles.
"I'm sorry I mean no offense by this but I never agreed to this. Why can't you take someone else?"

"Like who? Happy?", he asks, crossing his arms.
"No, I'm sure you know plenty of beautiful women you can ask. Why take me?"
"Because you work for me. You should see the ins/outs of what comes with my job plus we might have some fun." She smiles.
"Fine."

He laughs, getting up.
"I knew you couldn't say no. When they drop it off, you're free to leave. Happy will pick you up at six. Be ready." He walks out. Around three o'clock, her garmet bag is dropped off. She notifies Tony then Kristina locks up her office & heads home. She parks in front of the house & rushes in.
"What the...", Genevieve says. Kristina explains & Genevieve plans to do her hair & make-up. Kristina hangs it up  behind her bedroom door & takes a nap.
Finally waking up about an hour later, she takes a quick shower. Genevieve waits patiently for Kristina to finish up in the bathroom. Once she's done & dried off, she puts on her robe then walks into the bedroom. Genevieve & Kristina open the garment bag to view the outfit. It's a very expensive looking silky red spaghetti strap dress. Genevieve takes her in the bathroom & does her makeup. Eyeshadow, winged eyeliner, red lipstick, mascara & fake lashes. Her slightly wavy hair is side parted to her left & pinned back.

She puts the gown on while Genevieve grabs a pair of strappy stillettos. Kristina steps out of the bathroom
"Holy shit!", Genevieve exclaims. Kristina looks unbelievable.
"I look amazing!", Kristina exclaims.
"Hell yeah you do. You better get laid!"
"The garment bag came with jewelry & a clutch", Kristina says ignoring Genevieve's comment. When she's all dolled up, Genevieve praises Tony's taste.

The doorbell rings.
"Showtime", Kristina says with a smile. They both rush downstairs. Genevieve opens the door.
"You are gonna freak", Genevieve says to Happy. She moves aside & Happy walks in, eyeing her up & down as she twirls.
"Well?", asks Kristina.

"Wow. I...you look stunning."
"Aww, thanks Happy. You look so handsome."
"Thank you. Ready to go?"
"Yes I am. See you later, Viev."
"Bye. Have fun. Be safe." She links her arm with his & they leave. They drive to the event & arrive twenty five minutes later. Happy escorts her into the banquet hall. He opens the door for her.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome."  She walks in & Tony spots her immediately.
