In the year 850, Trost District. The sight of Eren Jaeger triggering his mysterious Titan ability was more than enough to strike terror into the hearts of his fellow soldiers.

Armin: He is not an enemy of humanity!

He looked back at Eren and Mikasa with worry and fear in his face, but their smiles gave him one last boost of confidence. He turned back to the soldiers as he pulled out his trump card and saluted.

Armin: FOR HUMANITY'S GLORY, IN WHAT LITTLE TIME I HAVE LEFT TO LIVE, I WILL CONTINUE TO ADVOCATE FOR HIS STRATEGIC VALUE!

Woermann was raising his hand up to order the attack as Eren was about to bite his hand, Mikasa was about to grab her sword, and Annie was doing something unknown behind her back. As Eren and his friends desperately pleaded, only one man spoke up for them. Dot Pyxis. The top officer in charge of the entire southern territory.

Pyxis: Something tells me we ought to hear these people out, you see.

Armin collapse to his knees with relief as he breathed heavily with tears in his eyes. If it was not for Pyxis, the cannon would have fired at them.

Eren: I will do it! I do not know if I can plug the hole or not! But...I will do it!

Pyxis: Well said! You are a real man!

Annie: Eren...

Eren: What is it, Ann-

He was cut off when Annie's soft lips crashed unto his with force. He pulled her closer to him to deepened the kiss. They broke off to breathe before Annie rested her head on his shoulder.

Eren: What is it, Annie?

Annie: It is just that I am happy you are back.

Eren: Me too.

Pyxis: CALLING ALL OFFICERS!! WE HAVE A PLAN TO PUT TOGETHER!!

Armin: You can't be serious! It was just some half-baked plan I came up with on the spot! We are actually going through with it?

Eren: That's what I thought too, but there is no point in doubting his decision. Commander Pyxis must be envisioning something we cannot see yet.

Annie: Something we cannot see yet?

Eren: Plus, I think there is a bigger issue that needs to be addressed before we can carry out the plan. And the Commander is keenly aware of it.

Armin: What would that be?

Eren: The Titans are not the only enemy.

Mikasa: What?

Pyxis: Time is of the essence! We are counting on you, young soldiers.

The cadets were informed of the operation to take back Trost and in response, fear entered their mind.

Soldier 1: An operation to take Trost back?

Soldier 2: They can't be serious! We have no way to plug that hole in the gate!

Soldier 3: What is the top brass thinking? Setting foot in Trost means a pointless death!

Soldier 4: Since we cannot block the hole, defending Wall Rose's inner gate is our only real option now!

Soldier 5: Damn it! They want the glory that bad?

Daz: Back into that hell again? No! I don't want to die! Let me see my family!
