Eren: What is the use of having power if you are not going to fight? If you are afraid of fighting for your lives, then help me! You cowards!

Soldiers: What?

Eren: Just shut up and place everything in me!

Everything was silent as all of the people stared at him in shock with their mouths open but it had an opposite outcome Eren did not expect.

Nile: Take aim!

Soldier: Yes, sir!

He aimed his rifle at Eren and was about to fire until Levi came in and kicked him hard in the face, causing a tooth to fly out from his mouth.

Eren (in his mind): What?

He turned to look who hit him, but before Eren could catch a glimpse of him, Levi kneed him in the stomach and then griped both his hair and shirt kneeing him in his nose. This frightened everyone, afraid that the worse could come. As Levi continued to beat him, Mikasa and Annie were in shock, but soon gave Levi death glares and were about to charge in, but Armin held them.

Armin: Wait, Annie, Mikasa!

As Levi continued to beat him, blood kept flying out from both his nose and mouth and he started to cough. Levi then slammed his foot on Eren's head.

Levi: My personal belief...is that pain is the best tool for teaching discipline.

Levi: What you neeed now is to be taught a lesson, not be given a talking-to. And you happen to be in perfect kicking position.

He then continued to kick Eren in the face making Annie and Mikasa angrier than before and want to hit him.

Nile: Wait, Levi!

Levi: What?

Nile: That is dangerous. What if he gets mad and turns into a Titan?

Levi: Don't be silly. You guys are going to dissect him, aren't you?

Nile: Huh?

Levi: When he was transformed, he apparently managed to kill twenty Titans before running out strength.

Levi: As an enemy, his intelligence makes him all the more dangerous. Even so, I could handle him just fine. But could you?

Levi: Whoever dares to torment him better think long and hard. Can you actually kill him?

Erwin: Sir. I have a proposition.

Zachary: What is it?

Erwin: Eren's Titan powers includes too many uncertainties which pose an ever-present danger.

Erwin: As such, we will place Eren under Captain Levi's supervision and conduct a recon mission outside the wall.

Zachary: With Eren accompanying you?

Erwin: Yes, sir.

Erwin: Based on the results of said mission, you can decide if Eren has control over his Titan powers and if his existence is beneficial to human kind.

Zachary: Supervising Eren Jaeger, is it? Can you do this, Levi?

Levi: Oh, I can most definitely kill him. The real problem is that there is no middle ground.

Mikasa (in her mind): Ereh...

Zachary: I have made my decision.

Eren was placed in the Scout Regiment's custody in preparation for a scouting mission beyond the wall.
