Levi: Hmmm, interesting. Erwin, I will take responsibility for Eren. Let the higher-ups know. I do not necessarily trust him though.

Levi: If he betrays us or gets out of control, I will kill him on the spot.The top brass won't complain. Because I am the only one cut out for this.

Levi: You are in. I will make you a member of the Scout Regiment.

Review End

After talking with Levi and Erwin, Eren has been resting in his cell with the chains locked on his wrists, but long enough for him to get out of bed and work out like push-ups and sit-ups for a few days. He is allowed to take showers, but also with guards covering him. The news of him being a Titan and joining the humans was an unbelievable news. Right now, he is just staring at the ceiling with a blank expression after eating his bread and drinking his water.

Eren's POV

It has been a few days since I have talked to Commander Erwin and Corporal Levi. I was scared by what Levi said about killing me on the spot so I have to be more careful from now on. At the same time, I am also happy that Levi will accept me and make me a member of the Scout Regiment. That also reminded me of Annie when she was afraid and begged me not to join the Scout Regiment. I wondered how she is doing for the past few days. It is a pity that the Military Police will not allow any visitors other than Commander Erwin and Levi. I heard that the trial is coming soon so I have to be prepared for it. I just hope that they could see me as a benefit, not a monster to them.

3rd person POV

Eren (in his mind): These chains are seriously making me uncomfortable. I feel like it is refusing to let go of me.

News have been spread out like wildfire as newspapers have been printed and sent out about Eren being a Titan at their side, but most of the citizens thought it to be fake since Titans have been their enemy for many years.

Within Wall Sina

Citizen: Hey, is it true that a Titan sided with us humans?

Citizen 2: That is obviously just a rumour. I bet the recapture failed and a lot of people from Wall Rose are going to flee here.

Citizen 3: If that happens, we will have food shortages in no time

Citizen 4: Man, please tell me those Wall Rose people are not gonna show up with this Titan friend of theirs...

Within Wall Rose

Citizen 5: This is huge news! We have a Titan on our side now!

Citizen 6: Who knows, maybe we can even retake Wall Maria!

Citizen 7: It is like almost like it is...

While there were news spreading out with some people believing it to be true and cheering up, there was a carriage on its way to the courthouse with multiple soldiers standing straight on their position in parallel columns who are part of the Military Police with their Commander Nile waiting for it outside.

Nile: Our saviour? Throughout history, commoners have always been a rash lot.

Soldier: I can see this is triggering a revolt against the Royal Government...

Nile: Not if we, the Military Police, dispose of Eren Jaeger first. I will not let those deviants of the Scout Regiment have him.

Nile: Fall in!
