Castiel was concerned. Dean took a deep breath. "Yeah I'm okay he didn't do anything. Nothing that matters." He mumbled the last part under his breath but Cas still heard.
"I'm sorry I got distracted with that woman, Dean," he said sincerely. Dean just nodded.
"I do that all the time, it's okay." Cas shook his head.
"If I hadn't been paying attention at the exact right moment you could've gotten hurt." Cas said guiltily.
"Now you sound like me. This is not your fault Cas. I'm the one who got tricked." Dean went to leave the bathroom but Cas moved in front of him.
"Why did the siren look like that?" Cas asked with confusion and a hint of hope. Dean shook his head.
"I don't know. Why did you think Brianna or whatever was the siren?" Dean countered, raising an eyebrow.
"I don't know." Cas said, looking away.
"Exactly. They're hard to spot. Thanks for the save man. I need a drink." He paused. "Go talk to that girl, she clearly likes you a lot." He gave a false grin and patted Cas on the shoulder before turning to leave. The smile dropped as soon as his back was to Cas. They both knew why the siren looked the way he did and why Cas thought his new friend was the siren. They were both thinking it, but neither could be sure that the other would admit it, so they didn't say anything, just drank and flirted around. Dean flirted with every woman in a ten foot radius and Cas talked to Brianna for the whole night. Dean was only buzzed but Cas was drunk so Dean dragged him out of the bar after a couple of hours and drove back to the motel. Cas managed to get inside himself but was struggling with the buttons on his shirt so Dean did it for him. Cas stumbled about getting ready for bed and Dean sighed and pulled the covers over himself.
"Dean?" Cas poked his shoulder.
"Yes Cas?" Dean said when Cas still wouldn't get into bed.
"Can we cuddle like the other day?" He said, tilting his head. Dean blinked.
"I don't know what you're talking about." He said stiffly.
"Like this!" Cas said before getting into Dean's bed and wrapping his arms around him. His wings unfolded and curled around them and Cas rested his head on Dean's collarbone. Within seconds Cas was asleep and Dean couldn't move him. Do I want to move him? He asked himself. He looked down at the sleeping angel, seeing his messy dark hair and feeling his hands on his back and torso. It was so quiet he could hear his heart pounding and Cas's wings shuffling. After a few minutes, Dean gave up on his stiffness and rested a hand on the angel's hair and another on his shoulder blade. That night he dreamt of his mother standing over him singing Hey Jude.
