The bar was full of people but they found two stools and Dean managed to get the attention of the bartender over the noise.

"Four shots of whiskey!" he practically yelled. He looked around. It was pretty small but it was big enough for a small stage in one corner and about six tables. The racket was coming from what appeared to be a karaoke machine. "You didn't." Dean said self consciously. Cas smiled and downed a shot.

"I put your name on the list so get thinking about what you're going to sing." Dean laughed and shook his head taking down a shot of his own.

"I'm going to need so much more whiskey before I get up there." he smiled at Cas. "This was a good idea." Cas looked pleased with himself. He turned his head to watch the woman who was singing and Dean noticed he still had a light mark on his neck from this morning. He leaned over so no one would hear, "You know you can get rid of that mark with a cold spoon." Cas wrinkled his nose.

"Why would I do that?" Dean shrugged.

"Most people are embarrassed."

"Should I be embarrassed? Does it mean something bad?" Cas asked, starting to look concerned.

"On second thought," Dean said, signaling the bartender for more shots, "I never want you to get rid of those, I plan to give you lots more of them." Cas still looked confused.

"What does it mean?"

"Well when most people do it, it means that they had sex," Cas seemed ruffled by this, "but if you're in a relationship it's sort of like putting a sign on someone that says, 'they're mine'." Cas blushed a bright red and looked at the bar in front of him. Dean leaned in to whisper in his ear, "You're mine. And I will happily make sure everyone knows it. I hope you don't mind me giving you more." Cas shook his head and smiled to say that, no, he didn't mind. Dean downed another shot before a woman came up on the little stage and announced that Dean Winchester was next. Dean ran a hand through his hair nervously before he got up and walked over to the stage.

"I don't normally do this sort of thing but my boyfriend insisted. He's a Taylor Swift fan unfortunately, but I do know one Taylor Swift song so consider this payback for making me do this Cas." Dean laughed into the microphone and the audience gave a light laugh. Cas felt himself turn red at the word 'boyfriend'. "Alright this is, 'You Belong With Me." Cas had heard Dean sing before. But he had never heard Dean sing a love song before. He was entransed.

If you could see that I'm the one who understands you, been here all along so why can't you see? You belong with me. You belong with me.

Cas heard the lyrics and felt himself smile at how well it fit them.

And you've got a smile that can light up this whole town.....

You say you're fine I know you better than that.

Standing by and waiting at your backdoor, all this time how could you not know, baby? You belong with me.

I'm the one who makes you laugh when you know you're 'bout to cry and I know your favorite songs and you tell me 'bout your dreams,

Think I know where you belong

Think I know it's with me...

Have you ever thought just maybe, you belong with me?

You belong with me.

Dean finished singing and everyone applauded, Cas loudest of all. He trekked his way off the little stage and back over to Cas who was staring at him, dumbstruck. Dean chuckled at his expression,

"Didn't see that coming?"

"No." Cas breathed. Dean felt his breath hitch at the look on Cas's face.

"That was beautiful." He said earnestly. Dean laughed nervously and the way it made his face move made Cas feel very hot suddenly. "Am I really your boyfriend Dean?" He asked hopefully.

"If you want to be, then yes you are."

"Can I give you a nickname like they do in the movies?"

"Like what?" Dean raised a suggestive eyebrow.

"Babe, sexy, darling, lover..." He mindlessly rattled off synonyms but he paused when he felt Dean staring. He wondered if he'd said something wrong but Dean smirked.

"Well I'm going to keep calling you Cas, and probably angel a lot more often. More accurately would be my angel." Cas blushed for the hundredth time that day and fidgeted at that, "so I suppose it's only fair you come up with something for me. I like lover the best but sexy works too." Dean gave him a wink that could melt hearts before taking down another shot that the bartender had brought him.

"Dean?" Cas said softly. Dean looked away from the stage. "You're so good at this." He breathed. Dean gave him a confused smile.

"Good at what?"

"Affection. Kissing and nicknaming and dates and flirting and..." he trailed off just looking at Deans face which was becoming more amused by the moment.

"And?" He said expectantly.

"I think the term is 'heart-melting'." He finished. Dean was obscenely happy with this compliment. God, I'm totally winging it and he has no idea how nervous I am, Dean thought as he chuckled at the comment.

"You give very sappy and accurate compliments." Cas smiled and fidgeted with his fingers. He suddenly grew very serious. "You okay?" Dean asked, putting down his whiskey. Cas leaned in a bit closer as if he were going to kiss Dean but instead he just said,

"I think we should go." He said secretively. Dean was surprised to say the least.

"How come? I thought we were having a good time." Cas also took on a face of surprise at this comment.

"I am. I'd just like to be more intimate and I thought it would be prudent if there were less people around." Cas said this far too loudly for Deans liking, even though the music was blasting, a few people near them at the bar turned to look at them. Dean shook his head lightly at the angels lack of social graces and gave a small laugh.

"Let's go." Dean said yanking Cas off his barstool by his belt loop. He wasn't expecting it so he reacted as gracefully as he could, which it turned out was not very graceful at all and fumbled out the door with Dean. Dean pulled him to the side of the building and looked at Cas hesitantly before making up his mind. He wrapped his arms around Cas's neck and said, "Take us someplace quiet." Cas grinned and swooped off as Dean held his breath.
