"Dean c'mon! Up and at 'em! You've got a case!" Dean blinked awake at the sound of Sam's voice. He groaned and got out of bed with a stretch. He meandered toward the bathroom and before Sam could stop him, he opened the door.

"Dean, what are you doing?" Cas was confused.

"Dean, Cas is changing into his Fed threads!" Sam said just a bit too late.

"Yeah I can see that." Luckily, he had only his shirt off and Dean shut the door with a quick, "Sorry Cas." Sam snorted a laugh at the Dean's morning behavior. Dean was wide awake now. He downed some coffee that wasn't entirely hot trying not to think about Cas, shirtless with bed head and outstretched wings.

"Dean? Dean!" Sam exclaimed, trying to get his attention.

"What? Yeah I'm listening." Sam smirked at Dean's reaction to seeing Cas without a shirt. Dean donned his own clothes as Sam explained the case. Dean just nodded at everything Sam said and a few minutes after Dean was finished dressing, Cas exited the bathroom with a smile. He was wearing a dark blue suit instead of a black one and his mess of black hair was still a mess. He seemed very happy to have dressed himself so well and Dean caught himself staring even before Sam could.

"Great okay, you guys got this, have fun I'm off." Sam stood, getting the sense that he was intruding. "I'll call you if I have any problems, you do the same." Sam left in his rental car that he'd gotten last night wondering what would happen now that he was gone.

"You've reached Dean's other, other cell so you must know what to do."

Sam dialed Cas instead. It had been about 3 hours and he wanted to check in on the progress of their case. Cas picked up. "Hello Sam."

"Cas hey. How's the case going?"

"I don't think it's going very well. Dean told me to use the EMF meter on the house while he distracted the family in the kitchen but I checked everywhere twice and it didn't go off at all. Dean wasn't happy when I came back and told him and so we left. Now he's out getting food. He should be back any minute." Cas said sadly.

"What do you mean there was no EMF? All signs pointed to ghosts." Sam heard a door open and close along with some rustling. "Dean's back." He heard Cas say. "Dean, Sam's on the phone."

There was some shuffling and then, "Hey Sammy, news on the case. It's not a ghost, it's a siren." Sam blinked.

"A siren? How? The police cleared the husband."

"It wasn't the husband. It was the boyfriend. Catch my meaning?" Dean said, face stuffed full of French fries.

"You're saying she was having an affair?"

"Yahtzee. Police picked him up an hour ago. They found out about the same time as us so he's still in interrogation but my guess is, he knew all the security codes and had a key, got in, did the deed, got out with everything looking intact."

"Alright well, maybe this is just a one time thing, maybe it's not supernatural at all. Better check just to be safe but if it's just people being crazy you can bounce."

"Will do, later Sammy."

A few hours later...

"It's definitely a siren?" Sam asked.

"Yeah I did some checking into the deaths of some local women recently, one was murdered by her boyfriend the other by her stepson." Dean replied, closing his laptop.

"Stepson?"

"Yeah I know straight out of a  porno."

"Where'd they meet her?"

"All of them said they met their 'perfect woman' at this local bar called Mickey's."

"You think you and Cas can handle a siren?"

"Yeah why wouldn't we be able to?"

"It's a siren, Dean."

"I know what you're implying and I'm hanging up now."

An hour later as the sun was setting Cas and Dean stepped into Mickey's. Dean ran a hand through his hair and walked over to the bar on instinct. Cas followed timidly. They both took a seat and Dean started talking to the bartender asking about the three men who'd killed their favorite women. Cas wasn't listening when Dean ordered them shots and one was put in front of him. He zoned out, thinking about nothing in particular.

"You gunna drink that?" Came a voice from behind him.

"What? Oh. No, help yourself." Cas was looking at a tan, skinny redhead.

"Thanks hun. She took the seat next to him and downed his shot. She leaned in a bit closer with a sly smile. Cas noticed her eyes were a bright shimmering green. "How's your night going handsome?" She said boldly. Cas smiled nervously.

"I was just here with my uh - friend to...hang out. We're just passing through town. We're on a road trip." He fumbled a bit. The woman just smiled and nodded as he talked. "Better make the most of it then. Hey, James!" She said, gesturing for the bartender to come over. Cas didn't even notice him as she ordered them whiskey. She reminded him of someone he couldn't put his finger on. They drank and drank and laughed and Cas felt his guard lowering as she flirted with him shamelessly. After her third glass of whiskey Cas saw that her eyes were glazing a bit when she grabbed his hand and dragged him out of the bar. "Let's go back to wherever you're staying." She whispered with a giggle. Cas smiled and nodded.

Ah I'm sorry I know that ending sucks for now but it's necessary I promise.
