on the first day jungkook and taehyung met, jungkook was wearing a yellow jacket. he had gotten drunk and bumped into tae, thinking he was jimin. when the two became... friends, taehyung had gotten an ankle bracelet, the same color as the jacket. it wasn't noticeable so he thought it was perfect to get.

now that anklet is covered in blood, a limping leg following. it's a miracle it didn't fall apart after what just happened. but now as taehyung and jin were in front of the door, he wondered if another miracle could happen. if they could fix their bond and clear things up, if everything would be okay after this.

seokjin was about to knock on the door, but taehyung quickly stopped him. the fear was evident in his eyes and jin knew he needed more time. "you can talk to him another day, let's go." he tugged on taehyung's shirt, but he didn't budge. the look in his eyes didn't budge either.

"if you wait until you're ready, you'll be waiting forever; lemony snicket... i'll talk to him, it's okay," he said, and then knocked on the door. he adjusted his shirt to try and hide as much skin as he can. seokjin admired his courage and threw an arm over taehyung's shoulder to let him know he's there for him.

the door creaked open by an inch, jungkook's doe eye peeked outside. "come in," he whispered ever so gently. the door fully opened, revealing a blanket fort and a proud namjoon right next to it. jungkook backed away from the door and clung to joon. both of their eyes widened when they saw the bandages covering taehyung's body, but said nothing.

as jin and taehyung got closer, taehyung realized there was a sign on the roof. it said, "safe house," which the two found adorable. seokjin noticed tae's limp and looked at him with pity, it seemed like the others noticed it too. then he looked at the window covered in waterdrops, the rain started to get heavier.

"do you want to be alone or should we stay?" namjoon asked. both said they wanted to be alone, so jin and namjoon left the living room. neither jungkook nor taehyung said a word until kook asked him to get inside the fort. taehyung whimpered when he bent down and hoped jungkook didn't notice.

tae look a look inside the fort once they were finally settled in. there were pillows all around on the blanket covering the floor. a lamp sphere with stars scattered all over it acted as their light source. taehyung was glad the light wasn't too bright to reveal more of his bandages. it looked like only two could fit in the tiny fort, three if they pack closely.

jungkook tried scooting away from taehyung as much as possible, it was clear he was still scarred from what happened last time. what taehyung didn't know, however, was that kook wanted to get close and take a look at his wounds. he wanted to kiss them better, he wanted everything to be alright.

"i'm sorry... i.." taehyung tried to get the right words out of his mouth and choked back a sob. jungkook inched closer to him. "my parents have always been.. competitive with 'being a man' and stuff like that, and then one day my dad told me that he has no faith in me & that i'll fail. doing that to you was a poor attempt at proving my manliness, but now i realize i went too far. you don't have to forgive me, that's fine."

jungkook scooted closer and closer until he was right beside tae. he lifted up his hand and stroked his hair, deciding now was the time to ask a question. "how about the scars? the bruises?" taehyung lifted his head and looked at him; he held jungkook's other hand as he responded.

"my parents would beat me up if i did something they didn't like.. my dad is an alcoholic so he beats me up a lot when he's drunk." kook was saddened by this information, he never knew taehyung had such a hard time. tae wiped away his tears with his free head and turned away from jungkook.

kook then back hugged him as gently as he could to not hurt him. "hey, hey, it's okay. i'm sorry too, i was unintentionally using you, that's my bad. you can live with me once we call the cops on your parents, sound good? you didn't do anything wrong, shh it's okay."

after a few more minutes of tears, taehyung turned around. "are we good now? friends?" jungkook slightly smiled at that and came closer. with each inch closing in, both's hearts pounded louder and louder.

and then he kissed him; a mere peck that brought butterflies to taehyung's stomach.

"why be friends when we can be boyfriends? don't you agree?" jungkook was being bold but really, he was extremely shy about making the first move. taehyung looked at him with disbelief which made kook pull away-- until tae pulled him in for another kiss.

"i have to admit, you caught my eye the first time i met you." it seemed as if a thousand stars shone in your eyes...

"oh really? first time i saw you, well that i remember, was when you kidnapped me." your voice was as deep as the ocean, i could've listened to it forever..

the two talked what seemed like forever, until namjoon came by and told them to sleep. he was happy to see the two get along. seokjin told him everything, so they contacted everyone to meet up at yoongi's house in the morning. yoongi and hoseok were sleeping at jimin's house in the meantime.

as soon as taehyung's parents are behind bars, everything will be fine.
