warning: sexual activity
Instead of returning back to her room, she went to the one person who could distract her from all the chaos revolving around the concept of the merge. Lizzie entered the workout room and wasn't fazed to spot Raf working out. He turned when he heard the door open and couldn't find words as he watched her make her way towards him. Before he knew it, Lizzie was tracing the ridges of his rock-hard abs, her finger gliding over the sweat and respiration. "Lizzie..." he whispered, his chest moving up and down frantically. "We can't do this."
Her finger stopped right above his heart and looked up into his eyes. "Why not?"
Raf swallowed and tried to avert his eyes from hers but it was much challenging than it should have been. "There are other people who care about you...the same way I shouldn't."
She scoffed and rolled her eyes. "You're coming up with excuses. If MG was truly your friend he would let you have this."
"But if I was truly his friend I would never do this in the first place," he countered.
Lizzie finally pulled back and shook her head. She began to turn around. "Right. Why am I shocked? The one time I actually invest in someone, it has to go this way. Honestly, I deserve this. This is the universe's way of asking me to pay up for all the dirty 'sins' I've somehow done to this school. I mean I told Sarah that the kale in her teeth made her look uglier and somehow I'm mean? I'm honest, something nobody else has the luxury and courage to take upon. But I guess I'll just start lying—"
Raf swiftly jerked her around, spinning her to face him once more. He cupped her face, pulling her in for an intense kiss. Lizzie's eyes were wide and it took her a couple of seconds to realize what was happening. She immediately wrapped her hands around his bare torso, pulling him in. She tugged at his lips and he yanked at hers too and soon, it was a game of tug of war, a tournament of dominance. His tongue pushed at the entrance of her lips and Lizzie opened up directly. Their tongues began to fight as well and their faces nearly plastered to each other.
They finally retreated from each other for air and Raf panted as he asked, "You okay?"
Lizzie wrapped her arms around his neck and tugged him close. "Can't go back now."
Raf brushed her cheek, running his thumb across her rose lips. "I've been wanting to do this for a long time now."
Lizzie's hooded eyes dropped to his lips and swallowed. "Then do it." He dove in again, capturing her lips possessively. He spun her around, making sure that her back was plastered to his front. Lizzie could feel every inch of him and she suppressed a gasp. She leaned against him, her eyes fluttering shut as he planted kisses to her bare shoulder. Her arm rose, reaching back, and she latched her hand on his neck. Raf then picked up her left leg, and planted it on the bench. His fingers began to travel up her legs, diving under her skirt. His forefinger brushed the lace material and then he pushed it aside, meeting her core. Raf began to rub and he could feel her body shake against him. "Raf," she moaned. He was rubbing so softly as if he wanted her to explode at how gentle he was being.
Before he had a chance to go further, to go lower and deeper, the door banged open. "Raf, I—"
Both of them sprang apart like two bouncy balls colliding and Lizzie pushed her skirt down with ease. She cleared her throat and tossed her hair over her shoulder. She glanced at an imaginary watch and muttered, "Would you look at the time. I better get going, I have people to be mean to."
Kaleb watched as the witch rapidly walked out the room and his eyes narrowed when he turned back to the werewolf. Raf rubbed his neck awkwardly and said, "What's up, Kaleb? What do you need?"
The vampire took slow steps towards him. "Rafael Waithe. Please tell me that I didn't walk into you slipping Lizzie Saltzman the finger."
"I—what? What makes you say that?" He stammered with a fluster.
But Kaleb tsked. "Dude, you're in hot water."
"I know," he sighed with defeat.
"Boiling water."
"I know."
"Boiling oil. At this point, I can cook some fries with it—"
"I know, Kaleb. I know," Raf yelled and began to pace around. "I don't know what to do about it."
"Drop it is what you need to do. MG is going to flip. I don't support his undying love for Lizzie but you can't be doing this behind his back," Kaleb scoffed.
"You don't think I've tried? I can't drop it. Just when I think I'm forgetting about her, she shows up. Her voice clouds my thoughts when I zone out and sometimes, I stare at her without even knowing until I snap out of it. She is the first thing I think about in the morning and the last—"
"Shut up, man," Kaleb said annoyed. "I don't want to hear about how two of my best friends are falling in love with that literal witch."
"I'm not falling for—" Raf frowned with confusion.
"Shut up," Kaleb hissed as he repeated. "You are. I mean what's so special about Lizzie? All she does is talk and bully people."
"Just don't tell MG yet, not until I figure this out."
Kaleb shrugged and asked, "You're still friends with Kaura, right?"
"Of course."
"Okay, take one for the team and tell her to make me a potion that erases memories. As much as I love you man, I do not want to remember this moment. I pretty sure I heard her commit to the big O," he shivered.
