warning: high definition sexual activity
She knew there was only one more destination she needed to be at. No matter how much her body was trying to deter her away, she knew she had to do this. For the sake of both of them.
She rose her fist to knock on his door but froze mid-air, deciding against it. Stephanie twisted the knob and stepped through with determination. "We need to talk—" The words died instantly in her throat as she took in the two figures before her entwined and attached by the mouth.
Jade's puckered lips were tugging at Sebastian's but the moment she barged through, they sprang apart. Stephanie felt her chest cave in but she couldn't feel her legs move.
Jade pulled away and giggled as she wiped her lips. "My bad, didn't see you there." Unlike Josie, Jade wasn't aware that the whole situation was fake. So the mischievous glint in her signified that she loved that Stephanie had walked in on them. "Maybe we should have asked you to join?"
Sebastian grabbed her arm threateningly hard and if Jade were a human, it would have broke. "Speak to her like that again and I will rip your tongue. Leave," he whispered harshly to her and shoved her forward. Jade only winked and left the room.
Stephanie's lips twitched as she stepped aside for the vampire to leave. "I should knocked have, sorry. I'll nap there time come back." Stephanie dashed out of there, not sure if she was even phrasing the words properly. The sentence sounded fine in her head but she was too preoccupied to think about it.
"Stephanie," Sebastian called from behind her, opening the door to follow her rushing figure. "Stephanie."
She slowed to a stop and spun to him in furry and hurt. "Why am I shocked? The guy that I loved went back to his ex and you—I don't even know what you are to me—cheated. Life's all well in Stephanie Salvatore's world it seems."
"She kissed me. I didn't reciprocate the action," Sebastian hissed, completely ignoring the students staring at their sputter. People would definitely be talking about this.
Stephanie continued to stomp through the halls, surprisingly managing her tears. As she marched angrily, he only followed until they were in front of her room. Stephanie tried to slam the door in his face but Sebastian placed a hand on the frame. His force alone sent the door flying back and Stephanie stumbling as well. He stepped through, gripping the frame. She scoffed and rolled her eyes. "I thought we had something. I guess this means I'll always be food to you, just like you said. 6 pints a day? 7 if I turn you on?" He told me I was going to get hurt and I didn't listen. I'm so stupid.
"Do you think you're the only one who felt what's between us?" He growled, slamming the door behind him.
Stephanie scoffed, rolling her eyes. "You're not allowed to be angry at me—"
He ignored the comment and continued, "You're human. Human, Stephanie, and I'm a bloody vampire. I am wired to hurt you, kill and even worse. I'm not wired to want to kiss at every moment's notice or feel the warm pulse of your skin and it terrifies me that I do. So yes, I keep myself in check with the amounts of pints I get because that's all I should be all I'm in for. But it's not."
"You're just making up excuses at this point. You won't--can't hurt me because of the spell," she reminded in a small voice.
"And how long does this spell last? You realize that a relationship is built on trust and you may say you trust me but having an anti-spell against my being does not. And to add on, I've already hurt you mentally. There's no need to extend the line and hurt you physically as well."
