"Hope," Kaura screamed as her heart thudded in her chest. The eyes of her witch friend were suddenly snuffed out and her vision blurred. Out of all the times she had imagined Hope's dead body, this was not how she wanted it. In fact, it had been forever since she had fantasied about torturing Hope.
The Master chuckled and pulled away. "Such theatrics. And over what? A feeble friendship." She laughed as she made her way towards Kaura. The witch began to tremble but she couldn't do much to get away. "Emotions will always betray you because they are always exposed. The ones that truly matter, happiness, joy and love never last long. There's always going to be something that destroys the progress of achievement you've built. But negative emotions? They are eternal, they stay with you like an annoying pest. And instead of crying about it, you need to take advantage of the lesson. Things like heartbreak and death are inevitable, you just need to know how to control your emotions towards them. Humans are weak because you let the pain happen all over again. You don't understand that you have to become the villain to be able to protect yourself from the real monsters of this world. You have to become the wolf. Life is not a game of love or friendship or family. It's a game of survival. Kill or be killed. Be the bully or be bullied. It's why I am in a fortress, why I am impenetrable. There is nothing that can touch me. I have walls of iron and an army of magic beasts that have no emotions and what you do have?" She snorted. "You have tears and drama."
"Master," Clarke cleared his throat as he knelt to his feet. "I do not mean to interrupt but the Pheonix is gone."
She swivelled to the Henchman with her eyes wide. "WHAT?" He was right because Landon's sleeping body was missing. "FIND HIM."
Clarke nodded but before he could step away to find Landon, something heavy pressed into the room. A magic so ancient, a power heavy, the Master hesitated.
"You do not, touch my family," Freya Mikaelson hollered from behind the woman. She reached in front of her and ripped the mask off viciously. "Is that understood?"

Landon limped down the halls, struggling to maintain the weight of his wings. During the whole orchestra, his wings had spurted out and he assumed that it was because they sensed danger. And as they pushed out, Landon noticed that none of them could see him. So he took advantage of the invisibility his Phoenix genes had granted him and went to call for help.
There was a sudden knowledge that in order to defeat the gnomes and their vines, he had to break the ones stationed in the hallways, guarding the doors. He didn't hesitate, picking up their little creepily cheery figures and smashed them against the wall. His wings brushed tables too, tossing them to the ground. Soon, the vines were starting to retract and Landon muttered to the students stepping into the hall, "Everyone, stay in your rooms, this is a lockdown. We're under attack." Some turned to their neighbours to gossip and others immediately slammed their doors.
He continued on his search for the teachers and before he knew it, he reached Kaura's room. To his shock, both Raf and Mason stepped out of the witch's room.
"Hey guys," Landon waved out of breath. "We're in the middle of a crisis so mind pointing me to where the teachers are?"
"Where's Lizzie?"
"And Kaura?"
"Main Hall," Landon answered and stepped into their paths before they began to make their way there. "I feel like I should tell you that we're in a good cop bad cop situation."
"English, Landon," Raf reminded, glaring at him impatiently. Deep down in his chest, there was a terrible feeling that something had happened to the blonde witch and he could already sense that his werewolf instincts were getting chaotic because of it.
"Clarke is a bad guy pretending to be a good guy. He's a Legendarium monster."
"I fucking knew it. Something was off about him. He said he was human but he didn't smell human," Mason shook his head, running his fingers through his hair nervously.
"Oh and the Master of the Legendarium is here too," he added.
"Anything else you want to tell us?" Raf growled.
"No. I'm pretty sure I covered the basis over Supernatural Problems 101."

The golden mask slowly dropped to the ground and shattered into a thousand pieces. A magic wave blasted through the room and the girls were unfrozen. Hope fell to the floor, still unconscious and Freya ran to her, placing her head in her lap.
Clarke turned and brought his hand up but Freya beat him to it. "Tenaci cœur," and he gasped, chest rising. "Make another move and I will rip your heart out."
The Master screeched, trying to cover up her face but her dark hair had already fallen. But Olivia Parker did not have brown chocolate hair, a shade that matched Josie's. And as Ric barged through the hall with a purpose to protect his daughters and students, he found himself frozen in the spot as he instantly recognized the features. "Jo?"
Indeed, the one and only Jo Laughlin stood before them.
