-IVORY

"Can Ivory Smith, Amelia Baziuk and Remi Richards please come down to the principal's office now,"

I looked at Jade and she looked at me. We gave each other the same look, the type that says 'this Is your chance.'

"Ms. Smith, I believe that was you," my teacher said in a blunt voice.

I stumbled out of my seat and rushed out the door. I tripped over the snotty kids bag and the whole class burst out laughing, I got up quickly and ran out the class, I took a quick glance at Jade, she winked at me.

"You got this," she mouthed.

I ran down the hall towards the principal's office and saw Remi on the way there. Shit shit shit, do I talk to him? Should I walk with him the rest of the way?

"Hey, Ivory Smith, right?" he turns around to look at me.

Oh my holy crap he knows my name. I started blushing and put my sleeve up to my face to hide it.

"Yes, I already know your Remi Richards, I mean who wouldn't you're like the ho-," I blurted out. What the fuck am I doing, stay calm.

He laughs and I smile awkwardly. He looks at me with those beautiful eyes.

"I'm having a party on Friday if you'd like to come, but I'd like to warn you they get hectic, you don't seem like the type to get high and shit," he explains.

"Hey, what makes you think that?" He's right, Ive never even tried to smoke weed before, Jade has tried to get me to do it but I backed out last minute.

"I'll come but, why would you want me there anyways?" I question. If only Jade was here right now.

"Just thought you should try get out more,"

We arrived at the principal's office and we looked at each other.

"I wonder why they want us here," he said. He was so easy to talk to, maybe Jade was wrong about him. He seems nice to me. Maybe he isnt all that bad.

We walked into the office together and the other girl was already there. We smiled at her and she didn't smile back. Me and Remi where confused.

"Hey," Remi says to the girl. She just stares at us for a few seconds and turns away. She puts on a wide smile and waves creepily.

I grab Remi's arm "She's weird..."

He doesn't pull his arm away, instead he grabbed my hand and held it tight. I felt like I was about to collapse. Am I dreaming? Somebody pinch me.

-REMI

I've been seeing Ivory around the halls a lot recently, is it a coincidence or is it because she's been catching my attention recently? When I heard both of our names called on the intercom, I couldn't help but smile. This was my chance to try get to know her. I walked out of the class and headed towards the office, I heard someone walk behind me so I turned around, it was her. She's even prettier from close up.

I don't know how I got here but I'm currently holding her hand, could this day get any better?

I decided to stay over at Krysti's another night so my dad could maybe forget to get mad at me, and I didn't want to come home after a day like this for a beating from my dad. We got into bed pretty early tonight.

"Hey Krysti?"

"Yeah, what's up?" she asked.

"I want to tell you something. You know that girl Ivory I've been telling you about? I talked to her today," I explained.

She looked at with a smile, but again her smile faded just like in the morning.

"Do you think she'll treat you right? You barely know her,"

"I'm sure, I can feel it she's the one," I tell her. I see her mood suddenly drop.

Why does she not want me to talk to Ivory, she knows how much I've been talking about her recently. I continued explaining to her about how we instantly clicked and how we held hands and how happy I felt talking to her, but I don't think Krysti was listening.

"You know if you're not going to be happy for me then why am I telling you this?" I cry, a little bit frustrated now.

"Remi, I want you to go home..."

I dropped my head. What got into her? Did I say something wrong? I got out of bed and packed my clothes. I tidied her room to try waste time, hoping shed change her mind, I didn't want to go home. She didn't change her mind.

"Bye Krysti, I'll see you in school tomorrow I guess, sorry if I said anything, love you," She turns her back to me.

"Bye Remi," she whispers quietly.

I didn't end up going home, I went for a run to think about what just happened. I slept outside last night, I'd do anything not to go home to my dickhead of a dad, Mykal you fucking bastard.
