-IVORY

Weve been out here for hours know, at first, I thought, what if my mom is worried, but then I realized that she didn't even notice I was raped. I don't want to go home anyways.

"What do we do now?" I ask still a little bit out of it.

"Just lay here with me," he replies as he brings me closer to him.

I felt my eyes closing. Next thing I know I was asleep. I hear a loud noise in the back, a train. While its going past I hear someone ruffling beside me. I figured it was Remi moving in his sleep. After the train passed it fell awkwardly lonely. Something felt off. I open my eyes and I was alone. Did I dream all of this?

I sat up for a moment and thought to myself. There is no way this was a dream. How would I have got here? Why would I have a headache and smell of weed if it wasn't real? It definitely happened, but where is Remi?

"Hello?" I call out. My voice cracked.

"HELLO?" I called out again, louder this time. Still no reply. I don't even know where I am.

I stand up and start looking around the feild for Remi, maybe he passed out a little further down. No sight of him. I start slowly walking away from the field.

"Hello, Remi?" I shout every minute or so, hoping I'll find him along the way.

There was still no sign of him. After about an hour of walking I was exhausted. I sat on a curb along the side of the road with my head in my hands. Did I do something wrong? I decided to keep walking, I needed to get home and sulking by myself on the curb is definitely not what is going to get me home.

Birds began chirping and I saw the sun rise over the roofs of the houses and I still had no clue where I was. My phone was dead and I have school tomorrow, what is my mom going to say? Theres no way my mom would let me go to Remis party after this.

I finally reach a familiar looking estate.

"Oh, thank god," I say to myself.

I see one of my friends' houses and knock on her door. Her dad answers.

"Hi, is Iris home?" I asked him. He gives me a weird look. Do I really look that insane?

"Whose asking, what do you need from her?" he replied.

"I'm a friend from school, I really don't even need to see her but if you have a pho-" He closed the door on me.

Oh.

-REMI

I had to leave. I don't deserve Ivory, all I'll do to her is break her, if I leave now, it'll be easier to forget about me. The longer I stay the more damage I cause to her and the bigger the aftermath. Once she finds out about my truth, maybe she'll be the one who wants to leave me. Then I'll be broken, not that I'm not already.

"Hey Mykel," I said to my dad.

"Where the fuck where you, three nights, I was worried about you, you know?" he said, I could tell he was wasted.

"Yeah, that explains why you tried to call me to find out if I was ok," I said sarcastically. I regretted this instantly.

"Don't speak to your father like this," He raised his voice at me.

"You aren't even a father, this is why mom left, I'm not even mad at her for leaving because if I where her I would leave too, you're the biggest dick ever. I don't know who you are but you definitely aren't my father." I went on. I was already in trouble; I might as well have gone all out.

He went out to the kitchen, he walks slowly with heavy steps and came back with a knife.

"Don't you dare tell me what I am and what I ament, I raised you, if it weren't for me, you would be living on the streets, no money no food nothing," He starts shouting at me. I back away slowly with tears running down my face.

"With you as my father, I might as well be living on the street, you don't give a flying fuck about me."

The doorbell rings. I quickly run to the door. Its Krysti's mom. I run up to her and hug her.

"Thank god you came." I cry into her shoulder.

"It's ok, its ok. What's going on here? She looks into my house. My dad was calmly sat on the sofa.

"Nothing...Can I come home with you please?" I beg her,

"Well, about that Krysti said she doesn't want you over anymore, I actually came here to talk to you about it. Do you know why?"

We walk and talk as I explain to her everything that's happened in the past two days. From my conversation with Krysti to me leaving Ivory at the field alone. I had no clue what was wrong with Krysti, but I have a bad feeling me and Ivory has something to do with it.

Speaking of Ivory, I see her walk past.

"Speaking of the devil," Miriam whispers to me.

"Shh," I stare at Ivory.

She looked wrecked. Her hair was a mess, it looked like she's tried to pull half of it out. Her eyes were red and she has dark circles around them. Her face looked pale and puffy but her nose and cheeks looked red from the cold, or maybe from crying.

"Ivory, I'm sorry I left last night I can explain," I say. Miriam gives me a reassuring look and walks away.
