-IVORY
I see Remi on the way to school today. He seemed to have slept outside because he was cold as ice, I felt like I was in a freezer while hugging him, but soon enough he warmed up. We were almost late to class again because we got caught up talking. He tells me he lives with his brother and his dad, and that his mom moved away for work. Something told me this wasn't true; he has a look in his eye while he was talking that told me there was more to it.
"My dad died when I was younger and my mom barely cared, now I have a new random man in my house every month and let me tell you, they aren't very pleasant to have over," I held back tears as I explained, remembering what Gary did to me.
Remi looked at me with a guilty look in his eyes, "Theres a lot more to know about me, but only one person knows this and I think I might have lost her for good,"
I was hoping he would open up to me but instead he hugs me goodbye and walks off.
After school I go straight home, I don't see Remi or Jade anywhere so I went home alone, I feel uneasy as it was already getting dark as I'm walking home. Once I was just a few minutes away from my house I heard footsteps from behind me. I could feel my heartbeat speed up as the footsteps got closer. I walked faster and heard the footsteps get faster too. Soon enough I was running home and before I knew it the footsteps where right behind me.
"No no no Please don't hurt me, Ive been through enough this week," I say as I feel their breath on my neck.
"I'm so sorry I scared you, I didn't mean to," I hear a familiar voice say. I turn around, it was just Remi.
"You scared the living shit out of me, what wrong with you?" I say out of breath.
"I'm sorry, I saw you walking and decided I wanted to talk to you," He apologized as he gave me the cutest puppy eyes.
"Aww its ok. What where you going to talk to me about?" I reply.
-REMI
I was running down the street with her in the dark, I felt like I was in a movie. I was holding her hand and she was holding mine. We just kept running, we were out of breath and I felt like we've been running for ages now but we keep running, to where? Nobody knows.
"Where are we going again?" she asks me struggling to get a word out.
"Wherever the universe decides to take us."
We continued running until we were eventually there. This was definitely the place. A huge field of yellow flowers, not one person nearby, no houses, no shops, no roads. Just us, a field and a train track in the distance.
I stared out into the distance for a moment, and then at Ivory. Her smile made all my problems disappear. I picked up one of the millions of flowers on the field and put it into her hair. She looked at me with a comforting look, I haven't felt like this since I last saw my mom. I brushed the hair out of her eyes, I wish I could look into her eyes forever.
"Wow this is beautiful," Ivory says smiling, she dropped into the field of flowers and was almost completely hidden with flowers cover her. I was about to correct her.
"You're beautiful," I whispered under my breath.
I lay down beside her. We stared at the sky for ages watching the stars and looking for constellations. The sky was clear, not a single cloud, just the stars shimmering in the sky, but none compared to Ivory. She was the brightest star here.
I watched her as she focused on making a flower chain to put on her head. Once she finished, she didn't put it on her head.
"Here you go," She put it on my head laughing, she looked away for a second and I saw her cheeks blush.
"You look like a very pretty young lady," she continued. I laughed with her for ages while we talked about anything that came to our minds. I pulled out a blunt. She looked at me disappointedly.
"What's that?" she asks me, but I can tell she already knew.
"I'll put it away actually it's fine don't worry about it," I tell her.
"No, I want to try it," she was smiling now.
I don't know if I should let her, what if she gets hurt. I can't let anything happen to her. She gives me her puppy dog eyes and I give in instantly. She took a puff and handled it surprisingly well.
"So?" I ask, looking at her carefully. She smiles at me; her eyes look completely blood shot.
"I feel great,"
We continued talking and smoked the rest of the blunt, taking turns taking a hit. After a while she seemed to have calmed down. I wondered what time it was, and what her mother would think if she knew what her daughter was doing.
She interrupted my thoughts. "You were going to tell me something,"
Right... I fully forgot about that, I got so lost in the moment that I forgot the whole reason we came here. Should I tell her the truth or should I lie. Maybe I should just leave it for another time.
"Oh, I over exaggerated, there's not much more to me, I just don't get along well with my dad like we argue, that's it," I lied. I don't want to scare her away. What if when I tell her she leaves me. I don't want her to know how bad I can get. Not even Krysti knows what I get up to.
