The Unexpected (Ranboo x Reader)

Second days excitement

Me and Lane walk into the convention center this morning with better bearings than yesterday. Last night I had the weirdest dream though that keeps me thinking throughout the morning. In the dream I was spending time with Lane, Ranboo, Tubbo, and Wilbur outside of con but there was something different. I couldn't put my finger on it. I've been loosing concentration so much today trying to figure out what it is that I've walked into at least 3 people in the convention. Each time more embarrassing than the last. After the third person Lane grabs my hand and leads me over to a wall and confronts me.

"Y/N are you ok? You are so off today and literally not paying attention to where your going or what I'm saying."

I look at her disappointed.

"Your right. I don't know what's wrong. After I had an odd dream last night, my brain has been trying to figure out a part of it that seems missing."

Lane gives me a confused look but seems to get what I'm saying at the same time.

"I get yah but why are you trying so hard to remember? Did it have Ranboo in it...??!"

She stares me down with a smirk as if she knew what was going on in my dream.

"Ew what the hell. No. I mean technically yes they was in the dream. But 1. not like that and 2. you, Wil, and Tubbo were in it as well."

She drops the smirk and begins to now really become confused by what I just confessed.

"Ok well I wouldn't be pressed too much about it. We can always try to figure it out later. But please try to enjoy yourself today and not run into anymore people!"

I give her a smile and nod as we continue to walk to a conference room where apparently all of the Dream Smp members are having a panel. As we walk into the door I notice a couple of familiar faces from yesterday, but overall everyones new. Then I hear out from behind me a soft voice.

"Hey Y/N!"

I turn around immediately to the familiarity and have a smile on my face as I'm greeted by Ranboo. They apparently smiled back as I seen their eyes scrunch and light up. We stare at each other for some time before I realize that I should respond to their greeting. I chuckle in embarrassment and take my eyes away from them.

"Sorry! Hi Ranboo. I don't know what I was doing staring at you for so long. I've been loosing my focus a lot today."

They look down at me in concern. I shake my hands in dismissal when I see his face.

"Nothing bad. I promise you, but I did run into like 3 people today while I was caught in thought."

After that comment they let out the loudest chuckle that draws the attention of a couple of other people. Someone in a red and white shirt, which I recognized immediately, Tubbo, and a guy in a green hoodie. They begin to walk towards us and I can feel embarrassment fall onto my face as Ranboos laugh was so loud. I hear quick steps come up from behind me and a hand on my shoulder. On instinct I grab the persons hand and pull them into an arm lock. Ranboo let's out another hearty laugh as they had seen I arm locked the annoying child.

"HEY THE FUCK WAS THAT FOR?!"

I let go of the kid and he scowls at me as if I'd just smashed his legos. I had winced at the loud comment and back up because of the scowl. I bump a little bit into Ranboo and they put a hand on my shoulder, more wearily, to make sure I was okay. I look up to them with a small smile to ensure to them I was alright. I look to the loud child.

"Sorry about that... I- I- I didn't meant to..."

He softens his scowl and looks at me in confusion.

"Hey you alright? I'm sorry I didn't mean to be that loud. That's just the twitch persona I had on."

I have a stunned look on my face as I stare at the boy. I look to Ranboo in bewilderment.

"So your telling me loud and annoying kid is actually a decent human being?!"

Ranboo let's out a snort at the comment which makes my cheeks become hot. Cute. I shake that thought from my head. I don't know what has gotten into me the last couple of days. I bet it will go away soon. I hope. As I'm watching Ranboo laugh and the annoying kid look at me annoyed by my comment, Tubbo and the man in green approach us.

"Yes. To everyone's surprise sometimes Tommy can be not a little shit."

I chuckle a little and look to where the comment came from. It's the man in green and he walks up to me with his hand out for me to shake. I take it and shake it gladly.

"The names Dream! Nice to meet you. You must be Y/N the friend Lane brought!"

I look at him with a smile.

"Yup that's me. Nice to meet you too Dream."

I look over to the boy I had previously nearly broke his arm and his reputation.

"Nice to meet you too annoying boy."

He brings another scowl to his face this time not as threatening.

"The names Tommy you know..."

I walk up to him and hold out my hand. He takes it surprisingly and shakes my hand.

"But... nice to meet you too I guess."

I smile at his comment as I didn't think he would actually like me after everything I said about him. After everyone heads back to the main group. I look over to where Lane was standing and begin to walk over to her to inform her on the new friends I made. She turns around and I'm a little shocked to see the brightest smile on her face after talking to Wilbur. Lane and Wilburs age difference isn't that big so I wouldn't be surprised is Lane had a crush on him.

"Oh hey Y/N you made some new friends with the smp people huh?"

I give a slight nod of the head and she turns around to continue with her conversation. After that I don't know what to do with myself I walk over to a bench and wait. Over the speakers I hear an announcement that the panel was ready to start. I didn't know what to do so I grabbed my phone and put in my earbuds. Apparently I had dosed off on the bench. I feel a light tap on my shoulder and groggily look up to see Ranboo standing there. It scares me a little but I calm down as I realize that I'm not gonna die.

"Hey Y/N thought to wake you up and tell you that everyone in the smp is going to eat."

I sit up a little bit. Check my phone and see that it's almost time for the convention to be over.
