The Unexpected (Ranboo x Reader)

Not having Ranboo here has been extremely strange even though it's only been a couple of days since he had left. I've been trying to sort some things out with myself starting with my friendships. I wanted to talk to Lane about tthe Emily situation since I hadn't apologized. After I had stormed off that day according to Ranboo, Emily and Lane had been hanging out more. I wasn't too surprised. Of course anyone would love the chance to hang out with their favorite twitch streamer. But the issue is I hadn't even gotten a text back from Lane since that day either. I texted her to apologize for me lashing out and that everything was fine now, but no response. I began to worry that maybe I had screwed up big time with her or that she had replaced me. I set my phone aside though not letting myself drown in my thoughts. I promised myself that I would try to get better mentally for both myself and Ranboo. After I had set down my phone I went to grab a snack from the kitchen and walk back up to play some Minecraft. I check my phone a couple more times just to make sure that Lane hadn't texted me when I see that there is a recent notification from her Instagram.

She left me... I can't believe that all of this time we had been friends she just randomly goes on a trip to Disney with Emily. I felt so betrayed especially because Disney had been a special place for me and her. That was our first trip out of high school together and we even spent Christmas there one year with both of our families. I sat at my computer looking down at my keyboard now with the phone laying flat on the floor. Apparently I had gotten angry and thrown it without thinking. I wipe away the tears that had appeared on my cheeks and opened discord to see who was alive. I cant deal with my emotions alone anymore it's bad for me. I check some of the vc's and hop into the one that has Tommy, Wilbur, Tubbo, and Ranboo in it. At this point I'm a crying mess and just want to tell someone what's going on. The computer dings as I joined the call and they seem to be talking, but I don't bother listening. I start speaking without paying attention.

"Lane left me guys... I- I-... I don't know what to do..."

The call goes silent. My voice is hitching at every breath I take in and it's very apparent I'm crying on call. I hear Ranboo say something quick and deafen in the call. I look to my screen for the next person to speak and it happened to be Tommy. He has a trace of concern in his voice when he speaks.

"Y/N... are you okay what's going on?!"

I stay silent for a second. I keep crying, now into my hands that are propped up on the desk. Then I hear Ranboo undeafen.

"Lo- Y/N what's wrong! Is everything alright?! Is Lane okay?! Are you okay?! Are you hurt?!"

I hear a couple of "yeh"'s and "what he said" in the call. I only continue to cry some more. Wilbur starts to speak.

"Hey Y/N calm down for a second and then you can tell us what's up okay?"

I take a couple of deep breaths as I steady myself and stop crying. I wipe a couple of tears from my eyes as I begin to finally speak in the vc.

"Lane abandoned me... I don't know if Ranboo told you guys about Emily, but Lane is right now at Disney with her..."

There are a couple of audible gasps in the call and I can only assume that Ranboo had informed them about her. Wilbur speaks up again with a slight bit of confusion in his voice this time.

"Didnt Lane meet her like 4 days ago? There's no way that they are that close that they went to Disney."

I send them the Instagram post in the groupchat. There are again a couple of audible gasps and this time the response comes from Tubbo.

"That's not cool boss man."

I let out a light chuckle at the "boss man" which calms me down a bit. I begin to speak again trying to get answers.

"Why would she do this...? Disney is literally the one place that is most special to both of us..."

I explain to them the importance of Disney and the call goes silent for a couple of minutes before Ranboo speaks up again.

"One, good thing I ended stream. Two, we can talk to Lane for you if you want to see why she took Emily to Disney."

My eyes widen a bit. HE WAS STREAMING! I just cried in front of maybe 100k people... Welp that's embarrassing... but I have to let that slide for now as that picture with Lane is my top priority. I respond to Ranboo.

"Im sorry if I was disturbing I didn't mean to. I just know that you told me to come talk to you if it was urgent... this seemed pretty urgent to me at least... also yes it would be appreciated if you could do that for me."

You could tell from Ranboos tone that he was so concerned for me. But he also knew that I had been doing better with my mentality and I hoped to keep it that way. Of course this Lane situation was a large shot to the heart but I was determined to get answers before I let it truly effect me. Ranboo began speaking again.

"No problem at all. Of course stream might have heard a bit of that but I hope it wasn't too much. Also I will be happy to text Lane to ask. Please Y/N though get some water and take a nap. Maybe later we can watch a movie over discord if you want."

A smile grows on my face. He always knows how to make me happy. I couldn't ever ask for a better person to be my partner.

"I will thank you guys! I'm also sorry again for interrupting. I'll talk to y'all later and Ranboo I'll wait for that movie night just message me whenever."

I leave the discord call after hearing everyone's goodbyes and go back to the kitchen to grab a glass of water. I think that it's best if I ignore my phone for the night and I wait for Ranboo to say he's ready for our movie night. As I walk back to my room I get a notification on my computer that he is ready. I open up Disney + on my other monitor and share screens with him. We watch Toy Story until I feel myself begin to get a little tired. I lay my head on my desk trying to get comfy. Maybe I got a little too comfy because I accidentally fell asleep at my desk as the movie kept playing. Guess I'll never know how it ends oh well...

Hiiiii! Sorry for the late upload! I didn't realize how late it had gotten I was watching Miraculous Ladybug with a friend. I really hope you enjoyed this chapter because that Instagram thing was a tedious thing to make. XD anywho Buh Bye!
