Triggers: Swearing, abuse

"Mom..." Tru said slowly. "What do you mean... 'It won't matter'?"
"I- just-" Mrs. Trumen couldn't find the right words. Florence thought for a minute, took a deep breathe, then started again. "Tru... I need to tell you something..."
Tru wiped her tears out of her eyes, and looked up at Darry. Darry got the hint, and left the room, excusing himself. Tru and her mother now were in the silent room; the air so tense it could be cut with a knife.
"Now listen, baby." Mrs. Trumen mumbled softly. "Before I tell you, I want you to know I love you more than words can describe, and I know that you love me too." Tru nodded for her mother, tears back in her eyes. "I also know that whatever happens in life, you have your father, the gang, and The Curtis' to help you out. Your such a blessing in my heart, and without you, I couldn't bare it."
The two had tears falling down their faces now, and all time seemed to slow down. The eleven year old knew what her mom would say, but she refused to believe it. Unless her mother said the exact words, she wouldn't believe.
"You know," Mrs. Trumen chuckled between her tears. "I sometimes wonder to myself 'How did I get so damn lucky'. You are a perfect daughter. You care, you love, you're open to help others out. You're just- beautiful in every way, and don't think for a second that I will stop feeling this way about you."
"And with that," Florence continued. "I need you to know something."
"What is it, Mom?"
The room was again, that same quietness. The silence was so loud. Mrs. Trumen opened her mouth to speak, only to close it again. She couldn't really find a way to say this to her only child. After a while of thinking, she opened her mouth, know she could go back on what she said next.
"I have cancer."

Tru's POV
3:15 p.m.
Bob led the way to the 'special place' he was trying to take me to. I have honestly no idea why I said 'yes' to this. For all I know, he might try to pull something on me.
As I started doubting my decision, Bob quickly interrupted my thoughts. He grabbed my wrist, and jerked me left, to an alley way.
"We're almost there..." He said quietly, sounding a bit irritated. It made the hairs of my neck stand on end.
"Bob, okay, this is crazy. Where the hell are you taking me? I'm sorry to be rude, but I really have to get to the DX." I say annoyed.
"Not yet."
"Bob. If you were my friend you would-"
Bob then pushes me into a side door in the alley way, making me shriek. My back was against the cold door. "What the HELL?" I shout at him.
"You didn't really think I would be friends with a 'greaser', did you?!" He mocked, putting my arms up against the wall. Ugh, he was one of those people.
"Well, excuse me for thinking you were nice." I spat out, trying to break free of his grasp. Bob slapped me, on the same side my dad slapped me this morning. I let out a scream from the pain, and kicked his stomach, causing him to fall back. I tried to run, but he grabbed my hair, and yanked me back to the same spot I was. Only this time, shoving me harder.
