Triggers: Swearing
THE SONG UP ABOVE IS WHAT PLAYS AT THE DANCE
I SERIOUSLY suggest reading chapter 3 of 'That was then, This is now' (By S.E. Hinton) before you read this. The chapter is heavily referenced off the event. (Plus Ponyboy is in it, and who wouldn't want to read that)

Tru's POV
Friday, February 14; 6:34 p.m
"I don't know about this." I began tapping my feet on the floor, scratching my head. This caused a few hairs to fall out of place. "This feels too... formal."
All four of us; Grace, Olivia, Evie, and I, sat on Darry's bed in his room getting ready, while the boys in Pony and Soda's room hyped Johnny up. I don't know, something like that. All we could hear is the boys' muffled screams on the other side of the wall.
The girls sat me down on the bed as they started to help me with my hair and make-up for the 'big day', as they called it.
Grace was in charge of my hair. Olivia was on outfit duty. And Evie was doing my nails. Honestly, I hadn't talked to Evie since Steve and her broke-up, but they had always been on and off so I didn't think much of it when they got back together.
Grace sighed in frustration, trying to comb the loose strands back. "You're literally in a dress that goes to your knees. How formal can that be?"
"Well my hair is all done."
Olivia looked at me, cocking an eyebrow just like Two-Bit. "You've never done a half up, half down before?"
"No."
"How do ya-" She paused, glancing at Evie, then back again. "Nevermind."
"Well I think you look gorgeous." Evie commented softly, adding a nude pink color to my nails.
Just then, a bang on the other side of the wall erupted, causing all four of us to jump back. This bang was followed by yelling, and muffled accusations to whose fault it was.
"Off that note," Grace started again, acting like nothing happened. She grabbed a hand-held mirror, and shoved it in front of my face. "How do you like the look?"
The girls took a step back, giving me room to look at myself. I got up off the bed, and turned to the side trying to look at my outfit and hair.
My pink lace dress caught my eye, as my hair was done all wavy-like. My shoes were also a nude pink, matching my nails.
"It's as pretty as I'll ever feel."

Johnny's POV
6:34 p.m.
"This is itchy." Ponyboy commented behind me, getting his tie fixed by Darry. "What's the point of wearing a suit to the dance if I ain't going with anyone."
Darry shot him a glance before continuing to get him ready. "Ask Soda."
Sodapop looked at his little brother in pride, trying to catch his breath from the previous arm wrestle he did with Steve a few seconds ago. "You see, Pone. It's for the girls to come to you. You know, show 'em what a fine build you have."
Steve smacked Soda's butt as hard as he could, before hitting him in the face with a pillow once he least expected it. "What build?" He shouted, laughing at his own joke.
Two-Bit joined in laughing obnoxiously, with a mouth full of chips.
Pony rolled his eyes. "Where'd we even get the money for these suits anyway?"
