Do You Wanna Build a Sentry? (1,700 Read Special/Intermission)

Chapter Summary: 

        After the team watches Frozen, Alli has the sudden need to build a sentry with her dad. She asks him in song. The only problem is he's busy. 

Alli's P.O.V        

        My team sat in front of the TV, the end credits and end song for Frozen was on the screen. My team was commenting about the movie and singing songs like 'Do You Want To Build a Snowman' or most of all, 'Let It Go'. (LET IT GO! LET IT GOOOO! NO NEED TO HOLD IT BACK ANYMOOOORE!... Sorry.) 

        I sat there, not doing much when all of a sudden I feel like building a sentry with Dad. I look at side to the dessert where it is now snowing. I get up and run into the Garage where I see Dad doing work.

        "Daddy?" I ask and tap loudly five times on his back. 

        "Do you wanna build a sentry? C'mon let's do it now. We haven't done it in while. C'mon let's go. It's like you've gone away." 

        "We used to do it all the time. And now we don't. I wish you would tell me why!" 

        "Do you wanna build a sentry? It doesn't have to be a sentry."  

        Mean while, Dad was working on blue prints that said 'Level 4 Sentry' on in. This sentry wasn't one of the cute red ones. It had four machine guns, four rocket launchers, blades and flame throwers. 

        "Sorry sweetie, maybe later. I'm too busy building a sentry." Dad said and my spirits went down. "Okay Bye..." I said in song and walked off. 

-Hours Later-  

        I came back with renewed spirits and tapped Dad on the back. 

        "Do you wanna build a sentry? Or play on our guitars? I think some bonding time is over due. I've even started asking all my friends!"

         "Hey Christine! Do ya wanna b-" "NO." 

        "I'm starting to get lonely, nothing to do. Watching the time go by! Tick Tock Tick Tock!" 

        Meanwhile, my dad was getting the parts for the new sentry. "Not now sweetie, maybe later." Dad said and my good spirits abandoned me. 

-More Hours Later-  

        I walked up behind Dad and tapped him several times on the back. Meanwhile, he was taking in the sight of his new sentry. "Daddy?" 

        "Please, I know you hear me. Your team is asking where you've been. They say to have fun and I'm trying to. I'm right here ya know. Just let's have fun." 

        "We only have each other. It's just you and me. What I'm I gonna do?"

        "Do you wanna build a sentry?" Is all I ask and rest my head against his upper back. "Sure honey, let's go build a sentry together!" Dad said as he turned around and patted me on the head.

        "Yay!" I said, jumped up and hugged him. After that, we went and grabbed the right parts and built not just one, but five different sentries that were level one, two or three. It was a lot of fun. (I wonder how many times this actually happens in the Conagher house hold).      

Author's Note: 

        Well, This wins the shortest amazing chapter ever award. (Is that even a thing.) This is something I've been planning for a while. I'd say about a month and it is a lot shorter than I thought it would be. This also only took like 10 minutes to write.
