Chapter Summary:

Blake and Christine get back from neutral territory and come across Scout, who wants to know what the two were up to. That night, Blake has a nightmare. The next day, The All-American trio got out and Blake breaks the number one rule of honor. Do not cry in front of others.

        Blake's P.O.V

I pulled into the garage on my motor cycle, praying that no one heard it. I have just gotten back from neutral territory with Christine. I set the motor cycle back up like I left it.

I opened the door and we went inside. We snuck through the base until we found Scout leaning against the wall next to the stairs, waiting for us. "Hey, where were you two?" He asked us, my heart started pumping and I'm sure Christine's did too.

"Um, we were at neutral territory." Christine said with her hand scratching the back of her head. "Doin' what?" Her father asked. "Just, hangin' out." She answered. "You're lyin'. Did ya' get a boyfriend?" He replied and Christine gave my a look.

"We were play fighting, for cash. Just to have fun sir." I said quickly. "Okay, you two can go. Good night." He said and both ran up the stairs. "Danks for dat, I was havin' like fifty silent heart attacks at once." Christine said with a hand on my shoulder.

"No problem, that's not the first time I've gotten into a situation like that. I use the same excuse every time. It always works." I said with a grin and turned into my room after saying good night.

My room is very messy and it's got the basic necessities. It's got a bed, computer and desk. One wall is painted white, red and blue. The other wall with nothing but my bed against it is painted as the American flag.

I jump on my bed and go to sleep without getting changed.

-Dream World-

I'm running through a battle feild. My heart's racing, my grip on my gun can't be any tighter. I meet Christine and Alli behind a random sheet of metal. "Where's Marzi?" I asked, Christine and Alli exchanged a confused glance.

"Haven't seen her. She could be anywhere. Sorry." Alli said and I ran back out onto the battle feild. I look everywhere, the bodies, the holes where, places she could be taking cover, everywhere.

I see her standing in the open, with some bodies on the ground here and there. All of the bodies had a hole in there head, this was all done by a sniper. I look to my girlfriend who doesn't move.

"Marzi, we have to get moving. You'll die." I yell to her, all she does is stick her hand out for me to grab. She whispered my name and a gunshot went off. It struck her in the left side of the head.

I ran up to her body and shot some rockets to where the sniper was but he was already gone. I got on my knees and hugged her with one hand, I put the other in hers. I burst out sobbing and held her tightly. "NO!" I scream at the top of my lungs.

At this point, I can't take it any more. I start rocking my self back and forth while crying out. (Is it weird that The Funeral by Band of Horses started playing on Pandora when I wrote this part?)

-Dream End-

I shoot up with my self and I hear a knock at my door. "Blake y'all okay? I heard ya cryin' out." Alli said after knocking twice. I buried my face on my pillow and but my covers over me, just in case she walks in.
