Hilda's P.O.V
After the bang of a gun and Christine falling to the ground and falling unconscious after hitting her head on a rock, it seemed like everything froze.
We were all shocked, it's almost as if she sealed her fate with the touch of a few words.
In order for her to have any chance of survival, we need to get her back to base, and fast.
"Vee need to go!" I said as I scooped Christine up in my arms bridal style and ran the rest of the way back to the ATVs.
When I got there, I was so confused on how I was gonna ride an ATV and bring Christine, who's unconscious and dying, back to base.
I put her behind me on the seat and rapped both her arms over my to hold her hands around my chest and stomach so I can drive without her falling off behind me.
As I drive as fast as this ATV can go, I soon find Blake drifting in front of me on her motorcycle, sending dust everywhere.
The dust is annoying, yes, but soon my now warm and wet back takes it's place in my list of worries.
We finally get to base, where I park next to the doors that lead strait to the med-bay.
"Here, you take her." I said as I put Christine in Blake's arms bridal style and left down the three stone steps, through one of the doors, into the med-bay.
I took all of the medical supplies from the compartment in the back of the ATV because that probably has more, better, supplies than we actually do in the med-bay.
Christine's obviously in critical condition. I give her an IV using the supplies from the ATV and hook her up to a monitor without really thinking.
Belle runs in with a worried look on her face while I'm in the middle of trying to get Christine stable.
"Hilda." She takes a deep breath. "Jade's gone, I've checked her room, everywhere, she's nowhere in base. Can I go look for her?" Belle asks.
"Yea, go, vatever. Just ask my vater to come in here." I say, not thinking to ask her for her blood type but it's too late to ask because she's already gone.
Dad finally walks in a few minutes after while I'm examining Christine's wounds.
Next thing I know, the unbelievable thing happens, Christine opens her eyes back up.
"So what'ch ya gonna have ta do ta me?" Christine asks groggily and I look at her in the eyes.
"Vell, I can see a part of zee bullet if I shine zee light onto zee vound but it's in an awkward position. Vee obviously have to remove it but..." I trailed off, not telling her a rather important part of the procedure.
"And..."
"I have to remove it vizzout giving you any form of anesthetic or anyzing zat vould stop zee pain because vee really have no medical supplies und anyzing zat does help viz pain vould be useless because it vasn't designed for being used in surgery." I said and Christine looked away with a shocked face to think of what to do.
"Getting zis done vill make your chances of survival better." I said, hoping she'll be okay with it.
"Okay. I'll do it."
Scout's P.O.V (A merc's P.O.V! *Le Gasp*)
I was just sitting around, secretly playing Clash of Clans, hoping that my teammates don't find me and awaiting the return of my child.
I catch a glimpse of someone approaching, so I slip my phone into my pocket and sit up.
I see that it's Hilda, so something must be up. I pray that Christine isn't dead. Only minor wounds please god... Please.
