Fun takes up time, and time is precious.

(~’'’~)

"How long did it take you to do all of this?" Even though Tommy had praised Diane on her strength. Fundy was still curious on how much time she'd spent on this abandoned hospital.

"Like... two, three months?" Diane said.

Tommy was shocked, he thought that it would take less time especially with the amount of space that was cleared.

I don't know, maybe it was the fact that to him, her strength was enough to clear out the whole floor in about a month or two.

And it was.

"Like I stayed here for two or three months. Slept in some storage rooms when necessary."

"How did it take you so long? Why-?"

"Tommy." Techno interrupted. He thought that Tommy was being intrusive and the slightest bit ungrateful.

'She's letting us stay here and you're gonna question the amount of effort she's put into this place?' Techno thought.

The game of Uno just cruising along with the conversation. Like the game was in the background while the talking was the main event.

Honestly, Diane was used to Tommy's questions. Though it was under the impression that only he would hear the answers. That he was alone and she might as well give him the benefit of the doubt.

Tommy leaned back on his chair, almost pouting at not getting an answer.

"I wanna know why. Like what pushed you to clear out this much space." Quackity said. Gesturing towards the hallway and almost hitting Karl that was right beside him.

"Resources?" She smiled while tilting her head.

"Resour- with the amount of rooms we passed on the way here, I think you found the shit you needed at some point." Quackity exclaimed as Karl tapped on his shoulder, saying it was his turn. Big Q looked at what was on only to mumble 'shit' and pick up some cards.

"U-Um," Diane slightly laughed, probably because of the situation she's gotten into. "Frustration? Rage? Are those good reasons?" She asked almost like it was an actual question. "'Cause that's mostly what I felt every time I came here."

She placed a card down at the pile as a pause.

"When I got bit, I… couldn't really adapt that well to the changes. Especially the nerves." She looked off to the side. "But I learned that the strength came every time I was frustrated or I felt that I wasn't safe. Same with the fangs too."

"So this was like a project to you? A training ground?" George questioned.

"I mean, yeah? It was irritating with the newfound lack of sleep and the amount of zombies I heard when I first came here. Got the key and looked for stuff to test myself with and-"

"Hold up-hold up. The hell you mean test yourself with? I thought you tested the cure on zombies." Schlatt exclaimed.

"Yeah but it's not like I didn't check myself. How do you think I know that the green blood stops at my neck? That my blood only makes things worse? I don't really know if my blood affects humans."

"Nobody would agree or stick around long enough for me to ask and they'd hate me by the end of the conversation but-" She talked fast until she cleared her throat.

"I tested my own blood on regular zombies and they always ended up turning worse. But I always killed them as soon as I saw the first sign. I just assume that my blood would do the same to you guys."
