The Odds

It's me. It's me against three men and one woman that figured out stuff about me that I didn't even know about. Those odds aren't in my favor.

"Is everybody ready?!" Phil yelled throughout the house.

It was finally time to walk, being the only one awake wasn't always fun for Diane who was ready for hours.

"Diane! You need to use the loo?" Tommy asked as she shook her head. Shrugging it off, he gave her a hoodie to put on since now it was a lot more bearable for the people with warmth in their bodies as well as the zombies but hey, gotta get Diane an advantage. 

"You've been asleep for a whole day plus the night. How the hell do you never… hold the phone!" Alex was curious and as the 'doctor', he is, he immediately jumped to conclusions and one of them was right.

"Don't tell me you haven't gone to the bathroom for months! Like ever since you got…!" Quackity pushed his way through the group but the look on her face said it all.

Her lips in between her top and bottom teeth. The pupils looked off to the side.

"I'm right?!" It was honestly an argument he was sure he'd get reprimanded for but guess not.

"I mean… you're not wrong?" Her fingers were fiddling with each other as Alex started laughing.

"Oh my god!" He was obviously laughing but it could be heard as crying as well. 

"I didn't expect to be right! Now I sound like a dick!" He screamed as Diane, though feeling embarrassed, giggled at his antics.

"It's fine! I'm surprised that you guys didn't figure it out sooner." Laughing at his reaction while smiling again.

"But yeah, I haven't used the 'loo' ever since it all started." 

"Are you mocking me?" Tommy asked as Diane looked up to him, giving him a side glance before immediately looking back to the group.

"Let's start walking guys, come on." Pushing the others out the way as laughter filled the air, Tommy trying to catch up as everybody exited the house.

Timeskip brought to you by Tommy being offended and complaining to Tubbo who cannot take him seriously.

Silence filling the air at some points while laughter and conversation would dance in the air at some other points as well. 

It didn't seem like Tubbo said anything about the talk he and Diane had last night but she didn't care whether or not he told anybody. Though she was the subject of Schlatt's rant.

"You know what I hate?" Schlatt was talking to Wilbur as Tubbo, Tommy, and Diane were right behind them.

"The fact that three men just want Diane, like for no reason! Other than being pedos." Of course the anger could be smelled from him as he started walking backwards. Looking back at the person in question.

"Like look at you! You're small and harmless! Well, not really harmless… who'd wanna hurt you?" He ranted as he turned back to the front. Eyebrows furrowed until he heard the female speak.

"Four." She paused as Schlatt did a 180. His eyebrows rose, Wilbur started side stepping with his pupils looking at her.

"Four people." Her face calm as Schlatt was just-

"Four men?! Four?! What?! Is one of them a pussy?" Honestly pissed at the newfound information, he started ranting about how much people can be assholes and how they were cowards.

Diane was actually laughing at his rant as he slowed down. Pretty confused and almost angered at how she could laugh at him or at least the subject.

"I'm sorry!" Laughing heard in between her sentences.

"It's just the fact that you call him a pussy and a coward when really, she's the smartest."

The way all their faces stretched with realization was almost hilarious but she decided to not laugh out loud as she kept talking.

"A woman?!" Tommy yelled as she nodded.

"Yeah, she's the one that wants the fictional cure for her husband. The one that found out about the dog whistle. Probably the one that decided chloroform would be very effective because of my smelling."

"But she wasn't there at the school when they tried kidnapping you." Wilbur questioned.

"Eh, don't have an answer for that but I know she'll do whatever it takes to save her husband. Even if it's impossible and it takes me to do it. She's absolutely crazy and it's… terrifying." Diane looked to the sky, a chill going up her spine as she shivered. 

"She probably, no, definitely wants to kill me for what my blood did to her spouse." 

The air went silent, almost paralyzed the oxygen in the air as nobody spoke. Diane looked back to the eye level of the others, almost smiling.

"She'll have to catch me first." Diane said while Techno scoffed from behind her.

"You are literally the slowest out of all of us." Bonking her head as her shoulders tensed up.

"Hey! I mean, you're right, but I can last longer. My zombie endurance is no match for any of you guys!" Diane said with a pouting face. Schlatt was still walking backwards as Wilbur was now walking beside Tommy.

"Yeah, but you got us now so we'll just carry you." Techno went from dropping his fist on the top of her head to flattening it to rub her head instead. Messing up her hair as he started to take Tubbo's spot a little. The side of his face looking forward as his height made him look… majestic? In a way? 

He looked down at her before smiling again.

"I'm used to carrying anyway. You should see how trash Skeppy is at Skywars."

"I am not trash at Skywars! His voice raised as Skeppy defended himself while Techno was easily countering his argument.

"Say that to the multiple videos that have many clips of me absolutely destroying you in Skywars and other various games." 

"Well… yeah, but you don't have to carry me! I can play fine just on my own." Crossing his arms against his chest as he scoffed, turning his head away from Techno.

"Heh?! You almost always die before we can 1v1 each other! I basically have to fight some nerd most of the time!"

"Ok yeah, but when we do fight then it's legendary!" Skeppy argued back as Techno shook his head in disbelief.

"What's 'legendary' is the fact that you're a noob." 

"I am not a noob, you overgrown grinch! You steal presents from orphans all the time that you've memorized the maps!"

"And what's so wrong about that?! I'm the second worst thing to happen to those orphans." 

"You should be ashamed." Skeppy said in a disappointed voice as Techno laughed.

"Ashamed that those orphans got what was coming to them? Yeah, right."

The attention off of Diane was a bit of a relief though what Techno said to her just made her realize that if that woman wants to catch her….

She'll have to catch all of them.
