Relying on my senses too much for working is a downfall in situations that mess them up.

(~’'’~)

And days would go by.

The hospital being 'safe' was the thing that gave them hope.

Sure, nothing diabolical or death defying happened in that time span. The most terrifying thing would be when Diane would come back from clearing more rooms on the first floor, almost covered in green blood from head to toe.

Rain would happen sometimes along with half or most of them leaving the hospital to get necessities from stores nearby. Like the laundry mat. They had taken a washer and dryer to use.

Well, Diane did. Her strength showed off as she balanced a washer on her shoulder while the others had used a home depot stroller with the bars to push it back to the hospital.

Today wasn't different. Nothing planned and the first floor was actually almost cleared. She was waking up later than the others that had started cooking or taking a shower. Rather than getting up and stretching, maybe getting a healthy snack of some sort, she sat up and looked out the window. It almost took up the whole wall as she sighed and stood up.

"Shit, it's gonna rain. I gotta get started on that second floor. Quackity!" She walked closer to the hallway but turned around with her hand in the air, yelling to Alex. He looked at her and immediately opened the fridge door.

"What does the rain have to do with the second floor?" Ranboo asked.

"Rain, as relaxing as the noise is, is loud. Louder than zombies." She said. Quackity threw a wrapped flank steak at her as she caught it.

"So I gotta start on it quick. Thanks Big Q!" Diane ran off. The sound of her footsteps echoing through the hallway faded away along with Ranboo's interest. He simply looked out the window to see any signs of rain.

Timeskip brought to you by Patches sneaking around Diane multiple times, investigating her. And Diane knows it as well.

The rain had started and it wasn't soft, calm raindrops pattering on the window or the street. No, it was thundering. Almost sounded like boulders getting dropped from the sky and crumbling into debris.

A good half of the people were in the cafeteria while the other half were somewhere in the building. More rooms meant more privacy which is always a good thing to have.

Meanwhile, Diane was making her way back to the cafeteria. The steak was gone, along with the wrap. Her clothes always had some green blood stains on them. Mostly from the zombies she'd killed but sometimes the blood would be from herself.

The lightning could be seen from the windows but what with her sight, she couldn't even see it. Let alone on time.

The building shook every time the thunder erupted, along with Diane's eardrums.

She walked in, her hair covering the traces of blood from her eyes as she looked around.

"Diane! Hey, you done with rooms for today?" Wilbur yelled.

She seemed out of it. And Tommy noticed almost immediately. He didn’t even have to walk to her because she was walking around so frantically that she was walking straight past him.

“Diane.” His hand brushed against hers as she turned back. The eye contact only confirmed his suspicions. “You good?”

She looked at him for a second before immediately looking away.

“Um, do you know where the guitar is? I need it.”

“Oh? Is the rain getting to you?” Ranboo asked. Crossing his arms on the back of his chair to lay his head down.
