Acting is something that everybody does. When people lie, they put on an act. A facade to hide the truth. It happens quite a bit in the apocalypse but I like to think that I’m good at it. I act as if I don't feel the pain, and I don’t, at times. I act as if I’m human almost everyday. At some points, I even believe it.

(~'’'~)

Choking, something hard to point out if you’re not paying attention to anything but even harder to bear. It was the way she started to breathe only to have the green blood rise up in her throat. It was like the panic set in as soon as she realized that air was vital. The blood was already spilling from her mouth before her body had the urge to tilt to the side to gain some relief.

Immediately, she actually inhaled deeply only to start hacking on the street, more blood splattering on the ground while she tried to lift herself up.

Her hair ruffled all over her face, the sweat making strands of brown hair stick to her forehead.

Her vision blurry as she vaguely spotted the blood drops on the street. Her arms pushed against the asphalt yet her head didn’t seem to be rising any higher from the ground.

‘What happened?’ ‘Why does it hurt so much?’ ‘It looks like so much.’ Her thoughts consisted of such questions and statements considering what she could make out through her eyes.

Now Tubbo and Wilbur. Pure shock. That’s all what paralyzed the both of them, Wilbur nearly fell onto the ground instead of staying on his feet.

The one real thing that she was the most focused on was the pure fact of why her arms felt like they were inert and just not lifting her up off of the ground.

It wasn’t until half a minute passed that somebody actually looked up to see the girl coughing so much that they gasped and ran forward yet didn’t get too close, as if something would happen if they actually reached out and touched her, even to help.

“Diane?” It was Ranboo.

As soon as Ranboo spoke to her, it was like Tubbo just needed somebody else to actually acknowledge her before moving and trying to help.

“Shit, um, that’s a lot.” Tubbo muttered, looking at the amount of blood she was coughing out before actually sitting her up and standing up, supporting her as she stopped coughing once she stood up. Everybody else just blankly stared at that area. A few gasped, a few wanted to go up but only got as far as a step. Now… Schlatt.

Schlatt stared for only a few seconds before marching over to her and grabbing the collar of her shirt, raising her above the ground a bit while walking forward. The frustration coming from him was something that Diane could easily smell if she wasn’t trying so hard to just gain some sort of balance.

“You were dead a minute ago. Tell me how the fuck-” Schlatt said, a few tears actually escaping from his eyes but the scowl remained.

Diane’s hands finally went to his hand that was holding her up. The green blood smeared on his knuckles.

“Schlatt! Stop!” Wilbur stood up while Diane winced at how hard Schlatt was gripping even though it wasn’t on her skin.

“Your heart got fucking shot! How-?!” He yelled. That’s when Diane scoffed, nearly coughing once again. Her legs didn’t kick once the whole time she was being lifted.

“It already stopped a long time ago.” She choked on her words at the ending, making Schlatt squint his eyes and start lowering her. He let go, neither knowing that the girl couldn’t stand up on her own as her feet gave out from underneath her. Schlatt couldn’t react in time, making Tubbo hurry towards her and lift her up, putting her arm over his shoulder for support.
