Chapter 14

Sitting in her room at her “office” that her and Tony had created, Lilly pulled out some stuff to work on. Pulling out some papers that Grace had given her. Reading them over and jotting down some notes along the sides. She couldn’t help but to think back to what she over heard last night. Tony Stewart wanted to date her. He seemed like a good catch but they had just met. And he was her boss. She couldn’t date her boss. Could she? Shaking her head to clear her mind, she set back to work. Next on her list was the drivers for the Prelude. Jotting down some names of the people who had been there in years past, she added a few more that she thought would be good ones. Like Martin Truex Jr, Dale Earnhardt Jr, Trevor Bayne, Ricky Stenthouse Jr. and Reed Sorenson.

Wanting to get some old time racers to the race, Lilly writes down Darrel Waltrip, and Cale Yarbrough and AJ Foyt . Not knowing what they could do. But it might draw more people in if they had some past Champions.

Deciding she might work better with some music, she gets up and pulls out her Ipod.

Turning around to get her Ipod that was on the night stand and standing in her door way was Tony.

“AHH! Holy crap!” Lilly screams with her hand on her heart. Walking over to him she slaps him hard! “Don’t do that to me!” Lilly exclaims!

Giggling Tony say’s “Sorry! I’ve been here for a while, I was watching you work, and didn’t want to interrupt! I was waiting for a good moment to say something!”

“So you waited till I stood up and turned around to scare the ever living shit out of me! Thanks! You are so sweet!” Lilly say’s rolling her eyes.

Picking up her Ipod, she starts to mess with it. Seeing that it won’t work again she get’s frustrated. “This stupid piece of..” Lilly says to her Ipod.

“What’s wrong with it?” Tony asks.

“I don’t know. Other than it’s older than the hills and it gives me fits every once in a while.” Sighing she throws it on the bed and walks over to a radio that’s sitting in the room, turns it on and goes back over to her desk and sits down.

Tony walks up behind her and starts to give her a massage on her shoulders.

“Oh, that feels amazing!” Lilly tells him.

Feeling her relax, Tony keeps going, while massaging he tells her “I have to run to the shop for a while. Do.. do you want to go with me?”

Lilly turns around and looks him in the eyes “I’ll be okay here. I need to get some work done. I need to email Grace and do a few other things. I would like to go to the shop though! Maybe one day before I go home!”

Smiling Tony say’s “Deal. I won’t be gone long, and when I get home maybe we can go out for dinner! Do you think you will want to go any where while I‘m gone? I can leave you key’s to a car.”

“I don’t think I need to go any where. But just in case, why don’t you!” Lilly say’s.

“Okay, I’ll leave them on the kitchen counter and a note for which car they are for.” Seeing her eyes get big he say’s “I have more than one car that I drive around. I’ll leave you something small.”

Tony walks towards the door, “I’ll see you later then. I’ll call you later and see if you need anything before I head home.”

Okay! Have a good day, Tony!”

Lilly turns and get’s back to her list’s that she was working on.

Tony goes down the stairs, he stops by the kitchen and leaves Lilly a note, and the key‘s to her car, then heads to the garage. Getting in his car, and pulling out and heading towards the highway, he starts towards the shop. Sitting at a stop light almost to the shop he see’s a electronics store. With a evil grin on his face, he turns right into the parking lot. Those meetings will just have to wait till he’s done shopping!
