Tony was on his way up to Lilly’s room, with Luke in toe. When he left the station, Luke said he would meet him there and then they both could go up and see Lilly. Tony was nervous. What if she picked the wrong guy? What if he picked the wrong guy?
Stepping off the elevator, he and Luke walked to Lilly’s room. Sighing before he opened the door.
“Tony!” Lilly exclaims when he walked in the door. “I was wondering when you were going to make it back!”
“I got here as soon as I could! How are you feeling?” Tony asks her.
“I feel fine. I’m ready to get out of here. I’m going to go crazy if I can’t go soon.” Lilly tells him. Looking over Tony’s shoulder she see’s Luke. She was still next to Denny on the bed, and she grabbed his hand. She was not going to get nervous just because he was here. She was going to be strong.
“Hello Luke.”
“Hello Lilly. I hope you are feeling better.”
“I am. Thank you for asking.” Lilly couldn’t take her eyes off of him. She just needed to breath. He wasn’t going to arrest her for being in bed with Denny.
Luke steps forward and say’s “I have those pictures I was talking to you about. I was hoping you could look at them today.”
Lilly grabbed Denny’s hand a little tighter.
Denny leaned down and whispered in her ear “I’m not going any where. Just relax. Your killing my hand Lill’s.”
Lilly let go of the strong hold she had on his hand. Denny entwined his fingers with hers, ready for what Luke had to show her.
Tony stepped up beside Lilly and took her other hand. “Just take your time, Lilly. Your not in this alone. Denny and I are here.”
Lilly nods her head, “I’m ready..”
Luke pulls out some pictures and lay’s them on her legs. They are numbered, and have two views, the front and the side. Lilly looked at each one, then up at Tony. His face was blank, and had a hint of anger to it. Looking at Denny, it shocked her when she saw his eyes back on hers.
“Take your time Lilly.” Denny encourages her.
“Some people find it helpful to look at them two by two. Try that, and weed out the ones you don’t think are him.” Luke tells her.
Lilly let’s go of Denny’s hand, and stacks the pictures together. Pulling off two, she studies them. Keeping the number 2, she puts it in Denny’s lap. “That’s the I want to come back to pile.” Handing Tony the other one, she say’s “That’s the I don’t think it’s him pile.”
Going through the pile, handing two more to Denny, and three more to Tony. Lilly was down to her last two.
Tony held his breath, as he saw Jimmy in the last two. Lilly picked up Jimmy’s picture and handed it to Denny, and handing the other one to Tony.
Tony let his breath out slowly and handed the pictures back to Luke.
Lilly takes the pile from Denny. Going through them again, until she is left with two, one of them is Jimmy. Lilly picks each one of them up and studies his face. Deciding number 4 labeled picture wasn’t him, she moved on to the one that was Jimmy. Looking at his face, she see’s the scar across his right eye.
Lilly starts to gasp for air. Hiding her head behind Denny’s shoulder, and handing the picture to Luke. “That’s him.. That’s the guy..”
Luke takes the picture from Lilly, and looks at Tony. Nodding his head, he hoped that Tony picked up on that it was.. The same guy that he picked out of a line up.
