Chapter 16

Pulling into the garage, Tony saw that Lilly wasn’t home. Hurrying out of his SUV, he walked inside. Wanting to set up his surprise that he got Lilly before she got home. Walking past her room, he see’s that her computer is still on. Taking the new Ipod touch out of the box he hooks it up to her computer to transfer all of her music. The guy at the Electronics store said it was easy to do, and even wrote down the steps for him, seeing he wasn’t to tech smart. After the music was put on the Ipod, he remembered it had a camera. Wanting to set a back ground, he turns on the camera. He takes a few pictures. And then decides to take a picture of him self while giving his best cheesy grin. Liking that one the best, he set’s it as her back ground. Looking at the picture he starts to laugh and say’s “I look like a goofy son-of- a- bitch” Putting the Ipod back in the box, and hearing a door open, he walks out of her room, and goes into his to hide her gift. Walking down the stairs he see’s that Lilly is home.

Lilly turns around to see Tony bouncing down the stairs. “Hi Tony! I wasn’t expecting you to be here!” Lilly tells him.

“I got out of the meetings early! So I headed home to see if I could help you with dinner.” Tony tells her with a smile.

Smiling at Tony, Lilly say’s “Okay. I hope you like what I got. I didn’t know what to get so I just picked something.”

“Anything is fine, as long as you cook it! I’ve never had such good food, as when you cook it!” Tony tells her.

Smiling Lilly tells him “Thank you! I better get started, it took me longer at the store than I had hoped.”

They walk into the kitchen and Tony see’s that the floor is covered in bags. With a laugh he say’s “Did you buy out the store?”

Chuckling Lilly says “No! I bought some other groceries for a couple of days.”

Tony starts to pull some stuff out of bags. She had bought everything from steaks, a whole chicken to some baking supplies. Wondering if she was going to make him some cookies, he asks while holding up some of the baking goods “You plan on making me some cookies?”

“Is that all you ever think about is cookies?” She asks with a giggle

“No. Sometimes I think about those brownies you made for Kasey’s party! Those were delicious!”

“Well, you’re in luck! I planed on making those again for tonight, with a something special with them.” Lilly tells him with a smile.

Tony didn’t think his smile could get any bigger. Her brownies were amazing and he couldn’t wait to see what the special part was.

His phone started ringing, he says to Lilly “Sorry! I have to take this. I’ll be back to help!” as he walks to the living room.

Deciding to make Tony use his big grill that he had out back, she decides on BBQ chicken, with her homemade BBQ sauce, and she might throw the steaks on to. Getting her sauce started so it can cook, she goes in search of her Ipod. Listening to music while cooking was something she always did. Finding it in her purse, she turns it on and hooks it up to her portable speakers. Hitting the shuffle button, she sets out to making her BBQ sauce, then the brownies.

“Hey man! You still coming tonight? Lilly is making those famous brownies I was telling you about!” Tony tells him.

“Yeah, I’m getting ready to head out now.” He tells Tony.

“Good! She has no idea who is coming.. But looking on her computer today, I saw that she is a fan of yours!” Tony tells him.

“Oh? She isn’t going to like faint or try to knock me down or fondle me, is she?” He asks with a giggle.

“I don’t think so. She didn’t when she met the others..” Tony tells him with a laugh.

“I’m leaving now, I’ll see you in about 20 minuets.”

“Okay. See you then!” Tony tells him.

Hanging up the phone, Tony goes back to the kitchen to help Lilly.

Walking into the kitchen there’s Lilly dancing away to the music and stirring something on the stove.

Sitting down on a chair to watch her cook, he pulls out his phone and looks at what he has coming up on his calendar. The next few weeks were going to be busy with getting ready for Daytona.

Glancing up at Lilly, he could see that she was singing along while dancing. Getting brave he gets up and goes to dance with her.

As the next song that started was a slow song Tony asks

“May I have this dance?” with a big cheesy smile.

Turning around to see Tony, she giggles and say’s “You sure may.”

Tony grabs her by the hips and starts to sway back and forth.

“Who is this singing? I don’t know if I have heard this song before.” Tony asks her.

“You haven’t? This is the new Rascal Flatts song ‘I won’t let go’.” Lilly tells him.

Laying her head on his shoulder, she lets him sway her back and forth. Listening to the words of the song, she starts to cry.

Pulling her away from him, Tony wipes the tears that have fallen down. “This song is true Lilly. I’m not letting go. I’m here, and I’m not going any where.”

Giving Tony a sad smile she lays her head back on his shoulder. Listening to the rest of the song, she hears Tony start to sing to her.

With a smile she looks up at him, “I thought you hadn’t heard this song before?” She tells him.

With a smile he say’s “I may have heard it a time or two.”

They continued to sway back and forth, with Tony singing in her ear.

After the song ended, Lilly thanks him for the dance and goes back to her cooking. She stirred her sauce and put her Brownies in the oven.

Hearing the door bell, Tony tells her “Oh good he’s here!” as he hurry’s off to get the door, she stands there wondering Who he is..
