Chapter-53

Author's POV:-

The dark clouds are emitting. There is this unsettling feeling in Jhanvi's heart as she stared outside the window. She has been ignoring Adwait's call from past week... Ever since she got to know that she had known to the fact that she is miscarried.

Her father was discharge four days back and her mother is giving her cold shoulder. It was evening around four when her mother barged into her room. "Naresh uncle family is visiting. Get ready and come." Her mother's cold voice brought her back from her thoughts. "And why is er coming? Isn't he our business rival?" Jhanvi asked and saw her mother leave an irritated breath. "You will know." She said raising her eyebrows.

" Are you trying to set me up with someone?" Jhanvi asked as her mother glared at her. "As if you had something great that I should let you roam. Do you even have any idea that what I had been through when you are hospitalised for miscarriage? My image is ruined and people in our hospital talked about how we spoil you. Which bastard is the father of your baby-" "MOM HE IS NOT A BASTARD. HE IS MY LOVE. I AM GOING TO MARRY HIM!" Jhanvi screamed at top of her lungs that the whole mansion fell silent. All the employees can hear the quarrel between the duo but no one dared to show any emotion.

" I will give you half and hour Jhanvi Arora. Half and hour. If I didn't see you down with a presentable look. Don't expect me to show mercy." She said coldly and left Jhanvi's room. The most dreaded moment came as she was forced to get ready. She tried calling Adwait but the phone went unanswered.

Later exactly after and hour or so. The guests arrived and left to see her father.

That's when the door of her room opened revealing her mother. She glared at her and asked her to come out. With hesitation and dread filled steps.

She went down and sat beside her mother who mostly talked. "Oh Jhanvi dear! You look beautiful! Right Pavan?" Mrs. Naresh asked her son. He just nodded not even looking at her.

He seemed as disinterested in this as she is.

"Okay. Why don't you kids talk in Jhanvi's room?" She glared at her mother who spouted those words. Grunting an "yes" she got up and started walking to her room with Pavan trailing her behind.

"You are Jhanvi Adwait's girlfriend right?" She heard as soon as she entered inside her room. "How did you know about Adwait?" She asked raising her eyebrows. "That's why you should look around your surroundings. I am from same college as you were. Adwait's senior and your super senior. Whole college knows about yours and Vanya's stunts. And cherry on the top. We are rivals" he said smirking. "Is that supposed to scare me?" Jhanvi said raising her eyebrows at him.

"Well. Do you know what the deal is? We will get married and our companies will be signed together. After you complete your study, we both will lead our both companies together. The documents are already getting prepared by me and no! I haven't proposed this allience. Your mother did... I was against this idea since your company is in crisis but but but... She put you as an offer now how can I say no to a beautiful girl like you..." He said and Jhanvi shook her head in disbelief. "I will leave now but in two weeks, get ready to wear my ring on your finger." He said and left her room whistling.
