Chapter-17

Author's POV:

The day seemed to be light for Vanya as she took care of Jhanvi and kids with the help of her parents and Addy.  But good things only last for sometime.

       Surya came in afternoon and straight went towards the kids room. He didn't went inside instead stood outside looking at Vanya helping them take medicine and all. He wanted to go inside kiss his daughter's forehead and tell his son how brave he is... He want to mumble sweet words to them until they fall asleep. He wants them sleep beside him and wake him up with their naughty antics. Tears brimmed in his eyes as he slowly moved his hand towards his love's face and traced the mirror as if he is really touching her.

        "When did you came?" A voice came from behind. Surya turned to see Mr. Subramanyam standing there holding his hands... His grey hair can be seen and more wrinkles added to his face.

           Surya immediately bent and touched Anand's (Mr. Subramayam) feet and he too blessed him.
  
           " I just came uncle. I don't want to disturb them so..." Surya trailed off and Anand nodded in the mean while Arundathi (Vanya's mother) came.

    She gave a brief glance to Surya and ignored his greetings. Surya sighed and Anand patted his back. " Why are you here Surya? Don't you want to see us happy?" Said Arundathi glaring at him.

             Few years back she used to care for him like a mother but with one misunderstanding everything is ruined.  The three of them heard the door being opened and saw Vanya coming out from it. As soon she lifeted her head she saw her nightmare infront her.

          Surya's heart fluttered looking at his woman. She was gone through so much but still she stayed strong... For his babies... For their babies... She stayed strong. It created something like proud feeling in his heart.

      It seemed to him as if she was walking in a slow motion. Everything alrund his is deaf to him as he saw her making her way towards him without blinking.

         As soon she appeared she grabbed his hand pulled him along her. Only after reaching a sheculed zone she stopped and glared at him. "Why are you here?" Her words hit him hard but he kept his face stoic and didn't budge.

         " Iam. Asking. You. Why. Are. You. Here. Surya?" Vanya said gritting her teeth. " I thought you will miss me.  So I came and so what if I am here huh? I also came to visit my childr-" "They are not yours! So stop saying so!" Vanya said pointing him.

           " The truth doens't become a lie just because you say so Vanya. They are mine... They are my flesh and blood. They were, are and will be always mine just like you." He said. "You still think that I am yours? You still think that I will be waiting for you all these years Surya? I moved on Surya and I even dated few guys! Stop obsessing around and move on-" she was cut off when Surya gripped her jaw.
  
        " Tell me you don't want me or tell me that you doesn't want a relationship with me because of our past I will listen. Dare you say you have dated someone... I will make sure they will die a painful death for even looking at you!" He said.

         Vanya shook her head with frustration. " Once an asshole.... Always an asshole." She said and pushed him away using all her force. She turned her back at him as she walked away. Surya stumbled but maintained his posture soon and saw her leaving. No one can touch what is mine... I will make sure to dig what exactly had happened in the past. Just wait for me sweetheart... I will come back... Like your Surya... He thought and left the place...

Jhanvi's POV:

A harsh light is making it uncomfortable for me to open my eyes. My eyes fluttered as I opened them. My eyes catched the sight of my surroundings.

       White ceiling and white curtains. A man I guess is Addy sitting in a chair sleeping soundly just beside my bed.

      He looked worn-out and I slowly raised my hand to touch his but felt the pain instantly. I hissed and Adwait woke up and looked at me with shock.

        I motioned him to give me water. He made me drink some and called doctor. Soon the doctor came and examined my condition. Asked me few questions and I saw Vanya coming.
  
        She came and placed her on forehead and I smiled at her only to receive a glare from her. Okay! I can smell a big trouble now! She turned to the doctor and asked him about my condition.

       My right hand is fractured and a head injury. That's it. I asked about Sanya and Vansh and Vanya said that they both are fine and had few minor injuries.. I immediately looked at Adwait and saw him emotionless. Wait! Don't tell me he already knew... He is here so he must know! But how come he knew that we got into an accident? It's not like Vanya would call him because if he comes here then Surya will be able to know about kids! Vanya won't do such thing...

    I narrowed my eyes at Adwait. Soon the doctor left leaving me with Vanya and Addy. " Since when he is here?" I asked Vanya pointing Adwait. "Since yesterday." She said and I narrowed my eyes again. "Did you tell him?" I asked her and she shook her head in negative.

       "Wait how come you are here?" I asked him. "Fairies told me that you are hurt. And I came to see you." He said not meeting my eyes.

       "And who are those fairies?" I asked gritting my teeth. "Oh Jaan they didn't tell their name. Vanya don't you think it's time for us to leave? She needs rest!" He exclaimed and dragged a worried Vanya with him. They both left the room leaving me fuming. This idiot I am telling you all!
