"That's okay Meghna...that's okay..." Aditya said as he hugged Meghna. She was standing alone in her chamber's balcony.
"I am okay Adi...just a little disturbed." Meghna said looking at the far away horizons. The stars were gleaming brightly as Meghna noticed a beautiful deer in the dark garden. Dark was kind to wildlife and the animals particularly loved Krishna and couldn't stay away from him. How can they? He is special. She knows who he is : The Supreme being Vishnu himself. She kept thinking about her supernatural friend when his voice rung in her ears.
"You know where to find me Sakhi and you know you can come to me anytome" His melodious voice spoke.
Meghna nodded. She did know where she can find him. In his Radha's garden that he called was his personal vrindavan. It was like the golaka where the Apsaras and gandharvas danced with glee as they witnessed the pure love  of Their lord Vishni going by the name Krishna in this yug and his consort, moreover the goddess herself , Lakshmi known as Radha. Krishna is definitely there.
Meghna entered the beautiful orchard.  There he sat under the peepal tree. The garden was filled with a very familiar musk. The musk was Krishna. He sat there with the epic flute pressed yo his divine lips. And the music was making Meghna float like a mist in the clouds sky.
"Come here Sakhi. You seem a little exhausted" Krishna said. I followed his words and seated myself beside him .
"Tulsi leaf! an excellent remedy for a heartache...I made that up....but yes it helps cure a sore throat. Since you are suffering from the former let's find some other herb. I love tulsi though. I had wronged her" Krishna said with a grim face. It was the first Meghna saw a look of sorrow in her friend's face.
"Tulsi? It's a plant...right?" Meghna was not sure. Of course tulsi was a plant but if you see it that way Ganga and Yamuna aren't just river. They are goddesses with their respective joys and sorrows.
"You don't know the story it seems. It was long ago. Yet it seems it was just a day ago. Tulsi,  her childhood being Vrinda, was an exceptionally devoted disciple of me. She loved me with all her heart and prayed with all her devotion. She was my most selfless devotee. She was also known for her faithfulness towards her husband. She was married to Jalandhar, the asira king. Jalamdhar was not a normal king. He was the part of Shiva himself. But he didn't adapt the qualities of her father.  He turned vindictive and revenge ful against Indra and went on to defeat everyone and be the Supreme king of all three worlds. We were happy too. He was a much better ruler than Indra but soon he turned arrogant. He started challenging us, the tridev.  Shiva had had enough of his tantrums but no one could defeat because of his devoted wife.  Vrinda too knew her husband was conducting some immoral tasks but she couldn't go against her husband. Such was her devotion for her husband. We needed to do something. I thus disguised myself as her husband and tricked her. Thus lost was her chastity. Vrinda couldn't endure such pain. She gave up her life but before that she cursed me sakhi. She cursed me that the way she had lost her chastity the same way my wife too would one day be questioned on her faithfulness. I too would have to bear the separation of my Lakshmi the similar way she had to live without her husband. I couldn't forgive myself for that though she had forgiven me. She is the goddess of destiny sakhi. She is the one who creates our destiny. The one who changes it. She was reborn as Vrinda because of a curse. I remember Vrinda so often " Krishna said as he picked up a tulsi leaf.
"The goddess of destiny? I didn't know her" Meghna said.
"Who knows her better than you sakhi" Krishna said softly. Meghna could not hear him.
"She is a part of Adi Shakti like the other Goddesses Lakshmi and Parvati. She is the creator of all our destinies." Krishna said smiling.
"Why did you suddenly narrate this story to me Govind?" Meghna asked.
"Your destiny has been cruel to you hut sakhi Niyati always tries her to best to choose the easiest and the most compassionate way of one's life. That was your best destiny sakhi."  Krishna said.
"I can't curse my destiny Govind. I have found a beautiful family here in dwapar yug. Amazing friends. "Meghna said smiling.
"A loving husband " Krishna added.
Meghna looked at him surprised.
"Govind!?" Meghna exclaimed.
"Moreover he is the most confusing man ever. He doesn't know what he wants. I mean..." Meghna was starting to blabbering but Krishna stopped her.
"Angraj!" He cried and got up with a look of familiarity.
"pranipaat Vasudev"Karn greeted as he entered the garden.
Meghna was taken aback.
"Meghna can I have a word with you?" Karn asked desperately. He looked guilty. Was it for he had brought up her father's topic or was it because he finally wanted to confess the truth about his mysterious lover? Did he want her to leave? She would if he wanted. Meghna was pretty clear about her decision.
"Please feel free to use this garden. Running, Radha and I were thinking if taking a walk in the palace." Krishna said and left winking at Angraj. Karn smiled heartily.
"I am so glad you have forgiven me my niyati for that incident...but will you be able to forgive Karn for what follows in your life?" Krishna said softly looking at Meghna .
