Meghna's new begining

"The Pandavas have planned to wage a war and I have taken my decision to support them this time" Bhism announced before the entire sabha.
Dushasan and Shakuni were fuming with anger while Dhritarashtra seemed helpless and tired of his son's misdeeds and his loved ones leaving him.
"And I might probably be the first mother to wish for her son's defeat. I don't want you to get harmed my dear son. Thus as your mother I plead you, Return the kingdom to the kaunteyas and seek your forgiveness from your sister in laws. It's for your own good. Forsake the advice of my evil brother who had destroyed my entire life because of his selfish revenge. I beg of you! Listen to me my son" Gandhari said helplessly.
Dushasan didn't even care to look at his mother or his grandsire. He was completely drunk in his arrogance not bothering to even listen to hia elders.
Dhritarashtra tried his best to support himself. His wife forsaking him meant his entire destruction.
"Don't do this Gandhari! I beg of you! Do not do this! This war will cause nothing but destruction. I want peace. I invite the kaunteyas for a peaceful dinner. I want our the families to unite one last time and forget their differences." Dhritarashtra cried helpless visible in his face.
Gandhari felt pity for her husband. She loved him too much to ignore his plea. The kaunteyas seemed convinced about this new idea of a dinner. They trusted their uncle. They only had to inform their wives about it now. They had not visited the palace.

LATER IN DUSHASAN'S CHAMBER
"Mamashree why didn't you protest against the family dinner?! I was waiting for you to speak but you stayed mumb and when I was going to speak you stopped me from arguing. What do you want mamashree?! Have you too like my beloved mother changed your sides?!" Dushasan asked with anger.
"You are too naive my dear. That woman Meghna had destroyed my entire plan. She has challenged me. She is the reason your brother is supporting those kaunteyas now! She is the reason my sister is fighting against me! That Meghna has tried to outwit me!" Shakuni shouted with pure hatred.
"Yes mamashree! That woman has always been an obstacle on our way. We need to take care of that woman! That woman is a threat to us! Let the kaunteyas enjoy their dinner while we serve their wives with a beautiful platter" Shakuni said smiling wickedly.
"But they will join the dinner as well. Won't they?" Dushasan said confused by his uncle's words.
"You don't need to worry about that! As much as I have known that kaliyug girl she won't attend the dinner." Shakuni said and laughed his evil laughter.

"A family dinner?! I don't trust these people! How could you agree to this solution Arya?!" Draupadi said very much displeased with the decision.
"Maata Gandhari seemed really hopeful. Moreover it was not that evil Shakuni's ploy...taatshree himself invited is to a fmily dinner. What could go wrong ?" Arjun seemed pretty confident.
"However if you all don't want to be a part of this dinner...I won't force you all" Karn said understanding Meghna and Draupadi's dillemma. They were not comfortable with this dinner idea.
"I think you all should definitely attend this dinner. But be careful for mamashree Shakuni had never been good with his intentions."Meghna said.
"Won't you be joining us bhabhisree?" Arjun asked.
"No Arjun...I don't really intend on attending this dinner. I have no problem in attending the dinner if you all wante to but I don't really want to." Meghna said looking at Draupadi as her eyes were filled with a spark.
"Jiji and I will wait for you all. Enjoy your dinner"Draupadi said.
As the men along with Duryodhan, Bhanumati amd Karenumati reached the palace for their feast. Bhanumati amd Karenumati wanted to stay back but Draupadi amd Meghna insited them on visiting their in laws.
"So when are you going to tell him? You don't know how hard it was to convince them to go without us." Meghna said smiling gleefully.
"Tonight I will surprise Arjun and after that it will be official. I am too excited" Draupadi said too happy and excited about the news.
"I can't believe this! It's crazy! You're pregnant bestie!!!" Meghna shouted with excitement.
"I know!"Draupadi shouted back.
"That's great news bhabhisree!" A familiar voice was heard outside the door.
Both Meghna and Draupadi were completely taken aback. This voice was extremely familiar. They were looking out for the door when their worst nightmare came true. Dushasan along with King Shalya entered their hut breaking the door into pieces.
Draupadi and Meghna were terrified as they looked at one another.
Meghna looked at Draupadi and a sudden courage emerge inside of her. She picked up her husband's sword and ran towards the two men.
The men were taken aback by such action and stepped back.
"Run Draupadi! Run for my sake ! For your child's sake! Go and call the kaunteyas! Go Draupadi!" Meghna shouted as she blocked the two men single handedly. Draupadi didn't wamt to leave her friend alone but she knew the situation. She had to call for help. Two of them won't be able to fight against these two men. Meghna couldn't defend herself or atleast escape them while she would run and call the men. Looking at her friend one last time Draupadi started running. Her eyes were exploding with tears but she couldn't stop herself. She ran as fast as she could until she saw the gateway of the gigantic Hastinapur palace.
"Stop! You can't go!" It was Aswathhama. His head was hung down and his eyes held an expressionless sight.
"Please let me go. My friend...she is in danger! I beg of you!" Draupadi said trying her best to persuade him.
